We did not stay here, however we were told by the owners of the Methow River Lodge that it was a must see, so we went up there. Beautiful property and hotel, and great views of Winthrop & the methow valley and a lake (I forgot the name of it) from up there.

How very kind of neighbors to have you come up and visit! The lake is Patterson Lake. The cabins on it are ours. Darned good fishing! More

There are two places that one can eat at Sun Mountain Lodge. We had very good breakfasts in the dining room. The prices were fair and the service was excellent. Dinner prices were way above our budget, so we opted for the bar and grill located next to the dining room. The prices here were good and the food was... More

We went thinking we would eat in the main dinning area but after the Hostess was so rude to us we opted for the bar/restaurant area and were glad we did.The view from there is so amazing. You can see the whole valley and it is breath taking. The food was excellent and the service fantastic.

There are 2 restaurants at this beautiful lodge, located about 10 iles from Winthrop, which is a fun little town. The more formal one was not open, but the experience we had at the more casual "bar & grill" was fantastic. The nearly 270 degree view was right out of a movie...ice capped peaks in the distance, lush green hills... More

We ate in the bar, since my dad and I were on the project when they remodeled the Sun Mountain Lodge, I wanted to see the view that I remembered. I had the french dip, which was awesome.

The staff were very helpful in steering us on a very pretty but not to taxing hike. We then popped into the lounge for a late lunch and a drink. Excellent salad and a good beef dip sandwich washed down with a beer for me and a very good margarita for the wife. Super views of the mountains and the... More

It's worth the short drive up the mountain for this view. We had lunch and some beers and went on a short hike. The views were great of the valley.

This lodge has everything. Skiing, Snow shoeing, sledding, game room, lounge and several more things even big wheeled bicycles to rent. We took their horse drawn sleigh rode. It was pretty cool. About 45 minutes long, great views and hot cocoa too. Can't beat that.

My husband and I stayed at the Sun Mountain Lodge for our wedding anniversary and had dinner there for our special date. We went relatively early in the evening to be able to still enjoy the incredible view before it got dark, and had a great table right by the window. Our waiter was friendly, great with the wine recommendations... More

My traveling companion and I had dinner here after riding at the stables – there was a problem with our original booking for horse riding at another guest ranch and the nice folks at Sun Mountain were able to save the day for us. First of all the view is incredible, we were there for the sunset and the canyon... More
