A bit from the past

Wow what an old relic. I don't think it's changed much from when my mother worked there about 50 years ago! There was a nice selection of small buckets hanging from the ceiling collecting the drips from the leaky roof. Prices were out of control and may have worked well 30 years ago, but not today.

We stayed at the Islander and ate here and we were the only ones there. The staff was great and more than accommodated us! They even have great drink specials! I recommend stopping in even if you don't stay at the Islander!

We enjoyed eating at this restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere and the view of the boats and marina is spectacular. Arriving before 6 pm we took advantage of the early bird special of 2 for 1 wine deal. My husband's salmon was slightly overcooked but the clam chowder was excellent. I enjoyed a Chicken Caesar Salad. A good size steak came... More

I ordered the Captain's Platter ($27.99) and my husband ordered the Seafood Trio (also 27.99). My shimp cocktail was two shrimp in an oversized shot glass filled with cocktail sauce. Both menu items were light on protein and heavy on the carbs, specifically the rice pilaf which was to fill one up after being served small seafood portions. The service... More

Last time I went there about a year ago, it wasn't really kid friendly.I thought. More adult sitting, good was expensive just got lunch. They do have a small, little store to buy shirts, taffy, Nick nacks it's a nice place if your looking for good food and not concerned about the price.

Pretty overpriced and uninspired. The view and location is about the only thing this place has going for it. Our server was nice too, I think her name was Victoria. Just average food for the prices. Expensive drinks.

The outside of the restaurant is run down, but inside is pretty hip. Large bar, amazing view of the harbor, although balanced by the direct view of the dead planter. Ok service, a little slow to bring the food. Delicious seafood - I had the salmon, hubs had fish and chips. Great rice. Spendy food. It appears they tout themselves... More

More expensive than it was worth.... when we arrived, the waitress explained it was "happy hour" so we ordered a meal and their "famous" bloody mary- The bloody mary was excellent, bus when we got the bill, it was $12 each !!! When I inquired about "happy hour" she said "they weren't included" ! (and we ordered reg. B/M ,... More

We were busy trying to find somewhere that served crab in yhe shell, couldn't find that but found this place that served excellent crab cakes filled with fresh crab Wait staff was friendly and the bartender pleasant. You can look out at the marinara while eating and watch the fishing boats come in and out.

Half Moon is right on the marina, close to all the action to be had in this major fishing town. Good selection of old standards, with many fish choices, along with beef and specials.
