We visited this restaurant on a Sunday morning (roughly around 11am). The wait wasnt bad; we were probably seated 5 minutes after arriving. But our timeliness and positive attitude all changed after that. It took our waitress 10 minutes to bring us our water and another 10 to take our order. This caused other customers to get up from their... More

When I first read the reviews I was skeptical to even go here. But it is where my niece wanted to have her "special time" with her aunts before her wedding. They do not take reservations, but I called anyway and spoke to Jeannie, who understood that we would need tables pushed together for our party of 12. She appreciated... More

A Group of us went out on a Friday evening. The restaurant was not very crowded we were greeted and sat promptly by the hostess. The service was okay but when we got our food my steak was overcooked, the Clam chowder was more like "bacon chowder" with more bacon in it than clams and it was like a pepper... More

We had breakfast at this quaint little cafe. The eggs Benedict was amazing. Far better than the usual fair.

If you want a great Bloody Mary, this is the perfect place to get one. The drink alone is practically a meal in itself, but I'd suggest ordering breakfast too!

Corner beef hash terrible! Who would put tomatoes in corned beef hash? Hash browns...ugh...soggy..white..not cooked! Sausage links..afraid to eat them...not browned and soggy! Home fries? Really...not browned..no onions or peppers in them...just little undercooked squares of potatoes! If you want a good Bloody Mary ok...just don't order an overpriced..undercooked...terrible breakfast!

The Hob Nob used to be owned by two women and the food was fabulous - homemade soup, the works. Then several years ago they sold it to someone who owns several other restaurants in the area, he folded it into his chain and everything went downhill. It went from being a wonderful, personable home cooking spot to just another... More

The Hob Nob is too tough, too blue-collar, and too crunchy-good to succumb to the tsunami-like gentrification of Tacoma. All I can say is, "Thank God!" Any atheists are welcome to thank the random interaction of subatomic particles. Tacoma has always been a working-class town, home to logging, ship-building, a smelter, and other, gritty, polluting industries that we now export... More

We first ate here several years ago and found it to be acceptable. I've waited a week to post this as I wanted to allow some time to pass so that I could give a fair review. The staff was pleasant, our group of five was seated in a timely manner. Then it all went downhill--I found myself facing a... More

The food has gone downhill...hot turkey sandwich..yuk! Turkey dried out..served on French bread that was old and should have been used for French toast...skimpy gravy...tasted like leftovers that were left over too long. The prices are up...the food has gone down...way down!
