A neighborhood classic worth a visit. Locals know its a gem. Simple, complex flavors make their food very tasty indeed. Everything is fresh. Atmosphere is casual and quaint. Strong service. If you need a place to have dinner or lunch then you can't go wrong choosing to stop by.

Great soups, and sandwiches well stuffed and well presented. I had a lovely Italian Soda too, but they offer nice wines. I always enjoy this place and return every time I visit Tacoma.

One of my daughter's favorite with a pleasant intimate neighborhood feeling. Small, with local art and good wine selection. Outdoor dining if the weather permits. We had soup and salad, nice serving sizes so you don't overstuff yourself and kept my water filled. Sandwiches sounded great and the cowboy cookies, too. Next time...

My daughter and I visited the Rosewood Café on a whim. She mentioned the place only in passing only after a friend of hers used the location as a landmark when giving directions. So after some difficulty considering a decent place to have our father-daughter date, she mentioned it and we went. Holy crap... what a surprise. Don't get me... More

Members of our family have visited this restaurant several times now--each time hoping for a better experience. However, each time there have been problems with service, serving size and, more importantly, disappointing flavors. If you are looking for neighborhood ambiance and reasonable prices, this is a good option, but don't go looking for good value.

Stopped in here for a lunch with two friends. We each had a delicious lunch, the sandwiches and salads were fresh and well balanced. It's a small cafe--think quaint, not crowded--with very friendly service and a happy atmosphere.

We frequently eat here in Tacoma. The sandwiches and salads are very good. And their daily soup selection is often wonderful. They also have a lovely wine selection.

We discovered the Rosewood a few years ago and make frequent treks to this quaint little cafe. The food quality is always good and the service is (almost always) fantastic. It's a friendly place with a modest menu (mostly sandwiches and salads), affordable prices, and tasty desserts. It's small so you might have to wait a few minutes for a... More

A great neighborhood place, with excellent service and food. In a quiet location, surrounded by beautiful homes just east of the Proctor District, it's a pleasant place to enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner. The sandwiches are always interesting, and the caesar salad with salmon is excellent. Large piece of fish, and cooked to a moist medium rare to preserve... More

I've lived 4 blocks from the Rosewood for five years. My wife and I decided to try it, and now I wish we would have visited earlier. Portions are reasonable, enough to fill, not enough to have leftovers. The menu is simple and the dished are executed well.
