Nice neighborhood restaurant

We have been going to the Rosewood Cafe since they opened in our neighborhood. We really enjoy the food for lunch and dinner. The daily specials are usually yummy! The wine list is varied and good. The outdoor patio is small and faces the street, but it is a nice choice in a warm day. My only wish... read more

Wonderful, fresh food in appropriate portions with good pricing. Their menu is small, but solid as is their wine list. The staff are friendly, fantastic and good with kids. The restaurant only has a couple handfuls of tables so they keep things moving, but it is comfortable enough you want to linger. I wish they had a little more space... More

I really want this restaurant to be good because it is in my neighborhood and there aren't many cafe's like it in Tacoma. A few years ago I tried it and although the food was okay (nothing special), the host/owner was terribly rude to us. I was taking my mother and a friend to lunch for her retirement. There were... This is such a lovely, cozy neighborhood place to have a good honest meal. We have always had a really great experience here. We love the staff, who are always friendly and attentive. Excellent sandwiches, soups and salads. We left tonight and remarked that we always love our experience here.

We don't live in the neighborhood (we don't even live in Tacoma!) but we consider the Rosewood to be our favorite neighborhood cafe. We hadn't been back in a while so today we grabbed a late lunch. My wife had the Tomato, Basil, and Brie sandwich and I enjoyed the Blushing Turkey Sandwich special with a cranberry/cream cheese/walnut spread. One... More

We've eaten here many times over the several years the Rosewood has been here and we have always had excellent food and friendly service. It's a few blocks down the street from the Proctor district on a corner in a quiet neighborhood - you could easily overlook it but stop in for a great meal. I especially like Rick's Dip,... More

I've returned several times. The menu is full of great lunch items such as salads and sandwiches. It can get a little loud when crowded and the interior seating isn't fabulous...but when the windows are open, it's a wonderful lunch spot with family or friends.

Wife and I have been here 3 or 4 times now, a nice out of the way spot down the street from the busier Proctor District. Smallish ( 7 or 8 four-tops and a few 2 tops, some outdoor seating in season) and often busy cafe, mainly good samwiches, salads and soups. Quality ingredients and breads. A few good beers... More

Loved this place so much we went back two days in a row during our visit. Great food and service. I wish I had a neighborhood restaurant as good as this.
