Loved this place so much we went back two days in a row during our visit. Great food and service. I wish I had a neighborhood restaurant as good as this.

Enjoyed lunch its fun to find a good local place. Rosewood Café has good sandwiches. I had a tuna melt with cappers & dill served on grilled bread. also ordered a club sandwich both were good. In the summer there is out door seating. Will return think would be enjoyable on a winter night, the Rosewood has a nice warm... More

This place used to be an old, family owned hamburger place where you could get fountain drinks. But the owners (who lived in the back) became old and no one took it over). Now they have a nice variety of wines and mostly sandwiches with simple salads. Many like it very much and I've met many of my neighbors there... More

This is my go-to in Tacoma; I drag all my friends here and promptly convert them with the delicious cowboy cookie, meatball sub, amazing vinaigrette dressing, and tasty wine. Great, personable staff, consistently good service, and absolutely delicious food at a good price point make this a must-eat if you find yourself in the North End.

Friends that live nearby this restaurant invited us for a Sunday lunch; what we discovered was a café with a heart. We were greeted by a friendly staff prepared to give suggestions for menu selections and happy to be of service. The pricing for selections was moderate and the overall experience makes us want to go back. Of Special Interest:... More

A neighborhood classic worth a visit. Locals know its a gem. Simple, complex flavors make their food very tasty indeed. Everything is fresh. Atmosphere is casual and quaint. Strong service. If you need a place to have dinner or lunch then you can't go wrong choosing to stop by.

Great soups, and sandwiches well stuffed and well presented. I had a lovely Italian Soda too, but they offer nice wines. I always enjoy this place and return every time I visit Tacoma.

One of my daughter's favorite with a pleasant intimate neighborhood feeling. Small, with local art and good wine selection. Outdoor dining if the weather permits. We had soup and salad, nice serving sizes so you don't overstuff yourself and kept my water filled. Sandwiches sounded great and the cowboy cookies, too. Next time...

My daughter and I visited the Rosewood Café on a whim. She mentioned the place only in passing only after a friend of hers used the location as a landmark when giving directions. So after some difficulty considering a decent place to have our father-daughter date, she mentioned it and we went. Holy crap... what a surprise. Don't get me... More

Members of our family have visited this restaurant several times now--each time hoping for a better experience. However, each time there have been problems with service, serving size and, more importantly, disappointing flavors. If you are looking for neighborhood ambiance and reasonable prices, this is a good option, but don't go looking for good value.
