Absolutely the best

We can't find another restaurant that is as authentic as Vuelve. If you are looking for chile rellenos, then you will only find them on Thursdays.

Been coming here since 1997 one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants around. Best tamales. And excellent Cavichi. Don't judge a book by its cover. This restaurant is a great dinning experience. Service is super fast and food is always consistent.

If you like to eat like many Mexicans do, enjoying hot and tasty food at an affordable price from a street cart, then GO TO THIS PLACE... and try Arroz con Pollo with a squeeze of lime... or a refreshing chunky chicken taco salad that will fill you up... or tres tacos (no cheese, lettuce or tomatoes on these -... This is one of our favorite local restaurants. Buckets of beer and authentically flavored traditional hispanic meals. We've tried just about everything on the menu and it's all good. My favorite on a lite meal night are the tamales. If I order anything else, I end up taking a plate of food home. The employees are hard working and friendly... More

The best authentic food around - hands down. Everything is home made and you can see it to believe it as the kitchen is open. Prices are reasonable for what you get. All the plates we've ordered have come hot and very tasty. If you are expecting chips & salsa, you'll be disappointed because they don't serve them. And if... More

I have been coming here close to 10 years. Excellent food, especially the Steak Ranchero. Authentic. Not Amercanized .

Worst Mexican food I have ever had! I had high hopes because the place seemed busy. I ordered the shrimp Diablo which is supposed to be a sautéed shrimp smothered in a spicy red sauce. What a joke! First bite I took it was a sweet sauce that was very familiar so I asked the waitress if the sauce was... More

I just got back from this oddly named restaurant, smiling as I carried my bag of carry-out into the house. Whenever I have reason to be in Tacoma, I make sure I stop at Vuelve A La Vida on my way back. It's actually only 3 miles from the City Center and the freeways, so it is convenient for anyone... I took my daughter and her boyfriend here today. We came in for the awesome pork tacos her boyfriend had a steak burrito and loved it. We saw a lot of beautiful looking bowls of seafood soup going out to customers. It smelt so good that's what I'm having next time. We finished with the deep fried ice cream very... More

Thursdays they have chile rellenos which are very good. The size runs from standard to huge depending on how the chiles are growing. The tortillas are made in house and are excellent. The wait staff is friendly. The arroz con pollo is outstanding.
