My buddy (recently relocated from SoCal) and I (visiting from SoCal) stopped in here after touring the nearby museums. What a cool place. The café vibe is very inviting: colorful décor (check out the posters) and homey, wood furniture. We came in just after the lunch hour but noticed that breakfast was still being served so we sprung for that.... More

I've been to Tacoma a few times in the last six month for business. This continues to be my "GO TO" when having breakfast. Especially if you want a quality meal early in the morning! A unique place that is very friendly and welcoming. This in not a chain by any means. Local, friendly, and good food! LOVE THE EGGS!!... More

This is an quirky little place where tables are meant to be shared, drinks are help your self, and the food is good for the price. Customer service was great and the Italian soda's were wonderful. The server will make them to exactly your preferred sweetness.

There isn't much around this section of town if staying here, this is your best option for casual breakfast. Eggs are uniquely scrambled by steam. The green eggs n ham offering was good (the green is avocado) and I added in cheddar. Sourdough toast is available. The coffee is low grade watery diner vintage and is self serve. They offer... It's a great atmosphere. My family and I loved all the pin ups. The food was fast and the customer service was great.

As soon as you enter the cafe it feels welcoming. My friend and I were there at noon and the cafe was busy. We seated ourselves and, while waiting for our table to be cleared, discussed the posters and memorabilia which cover the walls. I ordered breakfast and she the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Both meals were delicious and neither greasy.... More

I know all the reviews have been good, but my experience was different. The breakfast we had was good, although I didn't expect my veggie scramble to have ham in it. The owner is pleasant, and seems to be the cook, waiter and cashier too. The area where you get your hot water for tea didn't appear clean. Some of... More

This place is a must. The owner takes your order and serves you and even finds time to come and check on you to makes sure everything is to your liking. If you are staying at any of the downtown hotels or the University or visiting the museums, you will want to skip the hotel and museum food and come... More

I see what others refer to as the "mean/friendly guy", but being from the East Coast originally, if that's a prime criteria to rate restaurants, y'all'd rate many Boston area restaurants as one star since the "what's it to ya" attitude is uber-prevalent there. And, frankly, another skill learned from the East, is to go right back at him, parry... More

Were there for lunch. Keith the owner was dashing around serving rapidly, doing 1.5 servers work with a smile. I opted for chili and a milkshake over a full on sandwich. Chili was not up to the temperature I prefer, but tasty. My wife's taco salad was nice and looked attractive. Salsa was homemade and tasty. Well located in Museum... More
