I had lunch here with a friend from Tacoma. He clearly knew where to go. This restaurant is small, so he made reservations and the place filled up around us. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm. We all agreed that, for the price, this was a surprisingly unmemorable restaurant. The salads were OK, but the entrees were boring, as was the wine by the glass. I wouldn't go back.

I've had many lunches here and it's always a treat. The food, no matter what I've chosen, has been fabulous. The wine list is carefully picked and unlike most places, affordable. The restaurant is cozy and lovely. Lunches with girlfriends, dinner with a loved one, this place works for all occasions.

Brought my wife here for a nice romantic evening. In the theatre district of Tacoma, the restaurant is perfectly married with its location. Service on point, knowledgeable with wines, and food well executed.

Quaint atmosphere, delicious food - all tucked away in a turn-of-the (20th) century building which still features original brick walls. I've gone for both lunch and dinner, and especially enjoyed the Crab Cake appetizer and Crab Bisque starters. The Salmon in Bourbon sauce is indescribably delicious, and I also loved the flat iron steak I had on a previous visit.... More

On Friday morning, I literally stumbled onto this small place on Opera Alley in downtown Tacoma. The dinner menu looked really good. http://overthemooncafe.net/#!/?page_i... Resolved to do my research and return for dinner... I was pleased to see 4.5/5 here on Trip Advisor. So we made reservations for Saturday. Well, it's the understatement of 2015 to say we were disappointed. Every... More

You will love this local spot on Opera Alley a block from the Theater District. Food is prepared as ordered with fresh quality ingredients. GF options. The chairs are so comfortable you will want to linger. I don't know anyone in Tacoma who doesn't love this spot. Come once and it will soon be your favorite place too.

I have been wanting to try Over The Moon so when my friend brought me there I was really excited! When I walked in I felt instantly transported...into a beautiful, cozy, special place. My husband took me here for my birthday. I had never heard of it so I was excited to try something new. I loved everything about it! The decor is so beautiful and the food was wonderful. I tried a shrimp pasta which was by far the best shrimp pasta I have ever had. The service is kind of slow... More

We read the awesome reviews on trip advisor and were excited to try this place out. We showed up for a late lunch, around 2pm while in town visiting my parents. They seemed a little annoyed, I guess they close lunch around 3? We promised to be in and out. The food was really bland and cold, but we were... More
