Delightful dinner!

Thank you to previous reviewers - based on whose recommendations I chose Over the Moon for dinner with a high school friend visiting from back east. This was my first time in Tacoma and first time at this restaurant- and I will be back! Very well laid out, cozy but not crowded. Quiet enough to... read more

We all enjoyed your lunch. Love the decor. Fresh salads and homemade dishes. Very good experience. It is on a small one way street, needed my GPS. Walking distance to antique stores & shops.

This little gem is tucked at the corner of Opera Alley. In the 14 years it's been here, we've never eaten here or even heard of it. I think people are hiding a favorite spot! Stepping through the door is like stepping in to someone's home. There are tables on two levels, with a warm, brick interior. Before I start... More

My theater group tries to have dinner here before each performance. The staff makes everyone feel welcome and offers lots of suggestions on the menu and types of preparation. I would match this restaurant with any in the area.

Great atmosphere, delish wine, fabulous food. Staff were friendly and informative. Looking forward to coming back and already recommended others to try it out, and we just ate there last night! Definitely check it out!

My friend & I had gone to the haunted Tacoma walking tour for my birthday. Opera Alley was our last stop on the tour. We loved the appearance of the alley & the café looked very popular and quaint. We decided to grab dinner. We didn't have a reservation but they were very accommodating & found us a table (it's... More

We visited Over the Moon Cafe for the first time on Valentine's Day. It's a little tough to find since it's tucked away in an alley, and there's no parking outside the restaurant, but it's not tough to find parking on Broadway, Market, or St. Helens St. The atmosphere is intimate/romantic - dark colors, low lighting, heavy window drapes, antique-style... 1st visit to this restaurant was absolutely outstanding. However, the second time I visited it was much to be desired. The food remained outstanding but the service was poor. The waitress was very very bossy and seem to try to rush us out. Our table was also next to kitchen and the fumes did make for a poor ambiance. It... More

Great food and good service. Definite must try. It's a little hard to find as it sits on a side street that is almost like an alley.
