Masa appears to be a restaurant in transition. For quite a while it was one of our "go-to" spots in Tacoma-never a long wait even when busy, good service, and excellent food. For the past year it seems to be changing direction-no wait (haven't seen it busy in a while), inattentive service, and the food...is at best average. Our latest... More

We went out as a family to this place. We were not disappointed. All the food was authentic and delicious. The only downside, was the noise echoes terribly in the dining room. It gets very loud, if there are just a few noisy tables. If it's busy, you might try the outdoor dining. The noise level is significantly less there.

Were referred here from Asado Cucina across the street (same owners). Were seated quickly and service was timely if indifferent. The restaurant is very noisy and fairly tightly spaced. The multiple video screens are annoying. The food and margaritas are average at best. Will not return.

They have a great happy hour menu. Really affordable. Margaritas are good too. Family friendly. Fish Tacos are good, taquitos too. If there is nice weather sit at the patio.

During a recent business retreat our group dined here. I was not impressed. We were all tired and it took nearly an hour before they served us the main course, then the food was cold and tasteless. I ordered the fish thinking it was safe to get fish in Washington, when they told us it was Ahi, I cringed at... More

Ended up at Masa while trying to find a place we could get into on a Saturday night. Had to wait only about 15 minutes before getting a table. The chips they brought out tasted fresh rather than out of a bag and the chipotle salsa was excellent. My daughter had chicken fajitas, I had carne asada, both really good.... More

This restaurant is kind of tex-mex american combined, but has unique items that are delicious - try the fish tacos or the smoky chicken tacos - outstanding! Good deals if you go during happy hour. Service can be a bit slow at times, but overall, the food makes up for it. The atmosphere is "bar-like" but accommodates families nicely nontheless... More

Four of us went to Masa yesterday late afternoon for their Monday Happy Hour until 6:30PM. Very cool atmosphere. Garage door type wall that opens on nice days into the bar as well as being able to eat on their roof top patio. We ordered from their Happy Hour bar menu. The Masa Fries Handcut, tossed in roasted jalapeño butter,topped... More

What a great value and flavor fusion on 6th Ave. Their chips are DELICIOUS as is their salsa, queso and guac. Love all the fun flavors of the Happy Hour menu. I have taken my staff their 3 times now and enjoyed it each time. Excellent value, too!

I have visited Masa several times with my daughter (who loves it). The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is good, but nothing special. The fish tacos I got last visit were good, my grandson loved the mac and cheese, my daughter was happy with her flatbread pizza. Nothing to complain about, everything was fine. Just ok.
