The food at Johnny's is always good and the service is always excellent. They have a great view which is so nice to see when you are eating. The salads were good but not spectacular. I always go here when I am in town although I find it a little expensive. Two salads and two teas $48.00. You are probably... More

So, I had the evening off and was looking for someplace cool to dine, enjoy some scenery, and possibly hear some music...Johnny's Dock hit the spot! Not knowing ANYTHING about the place, I made reservations and showed up in a pair of dark jeans and collared shirt...WAY over-dresses for what I would experience that evening. Upon arriving, I was seated... More

A great waterfront location with decent food and atmosphere. The facility is showing it age and could use an updating. While prices are not bad, I would not be interested in paying much more given the dated facilities. The location is a great and could be a good romantic location, but needs some upgrades.

We went to Johnny's Dock last night to celebrate my husbands birthday. He found the menu on line and it looked great. We got there and were surprised to be so under dressed we had no idea it was such a stuffy & snobby place. The menu we were given was completely different from the one on restaurant's own website.... Should be on the Historical Register. A Tacoma institution. Food is definitely well above average with good portion sizes and excellent service. Their fish & chips are the best, especially with the chowder and bread. The happy hour menu is dinner for a lot of people. Daily, 4-6.

Hadn't been to Johnny's Dock for many years and decided to go there for lunch with my brother. Its a nice place although a view of a minor waterway of Tacoma is not the best. Probably looks better a night. They had an Oktoberfest special of Roast pork with gravy, potato pancake and red cabbage. Being a big fan of... More

We sort of stumbled onto Johnny's while trying to figure out where to eat before a Bon Jovi concert at the Tacoma Dome. Happy to say I'd like to stumble like this more often! You can't help but notice immediately the nice view of the marina and downtown Tacoma from virtually every table (the bar is also well-appointed too). We... More

Righteous clam chowder, fabulous crab cakes, beefy bleu baron sandwich, wonderful fries, attentive & professional service. To be that busy at 1:30 pm on a Wednesday attests to their popularity with locals.

We went for an early dinner and sat on the patio overlooking the marina. The service was very good but the cranberry/vodka drink was too strong I thought but it turns out the cranberry juice was too weak so the drink was a bust. I had no complaints of the food, it was well presented and cooked to perfection.. I... More

I'm 70 years young and experienced my first prom night at the original Johnny's Dock which burned to the ground many years ago and was replaced with the existing restaurant located on a busy waterway downtown Tacoma. This area has enjoyed a renaissance and is bustling with people living life to the fullest. Your waterfront view includes the striking Chihuly... More
