what a delightful find

Visiting with family in Tacoma and needing a spot that filled many different desires is not always easy. We found a perfect blend of light and healthy (and tasty), almost teen and more traditional tastes easily satisfied.

If you are looking for a great steak then this is that place. Asado is kind of a hip place right in the middle of a trendy area of Tacoma. It is usually crowded on the weekends but they do take reservations which I recommend. There is valet parking if you need it. The food is awesome and there are... More

I've only been to Argentina once on business and enjoyed the food (and the country, like Europe in South America). Really enjoy Asado because it's a cusine that you don't normally get and it's excellent served here. Expect Argentinean focused wine as well. The restaurant's not huge and the bar small to medium but we've stopped by as a couple... More

When I made a reservation for dinner I asked for a quiet, intimate table. We were seated next to the door. It was December and the cold wind came through every time someone opened the door. It's loud, lacks intimacy. Food is way overpriced.

Fantastic steak from the grill. The grilled asparagus--great. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Red wine. Atmosphere: dark, wood, metal, candles, reds, open kitchen. Great date night. It is clear why this is one of the top 2 restaurants in Tacoma. (Although, does anyone else think the current #1--Marzano's--should be the top restaurant in Parkland--take them out of Tacoma.) The desserts... More

Asado is one of our favorites. Great service, fantastic drink menu (especially the wine list), and delicious food. We've tried most things on the menu and are never disappointed. It's one of the best places for a date night - dark lighting, lots of candles, sexy music. Must go!

Asada has satisfied us once again. The last trip was just one of many we've taken just the two of us or as a family. Although it adds up to a big bill for a family of six, the food is definitely worth it as a special treat.

If you want to eat red meat in Tacoma, this the place to go! My husband had the Lomo steak and it was so tender he could cut through it like butter. Our friend ordered one of the specials, steelhead trout stuffed with crab, and practically swooned with every bite! For my entree, I had the trio of appetizers. I... More

My wife and I came to Asado for a dinner date. I had made reservations for 6:30 PM two weeks before. We arrived at 6:15 and were immediately escorted to our table. The table was small, but this is how it is in South America and Europe. It is a little loud with all the talking but again this is... More

Small intimate restaurant in Tacoma right off 6th. Valet parking available. A very nice selection of various steaks. Several chorizo dishes as well as shrimp dishes and lamb. We were in a party of six and we all enjoyed our meal. The Porterhouse steak was huge, and enjoyed by two of the guys. Only one person in our group was... More
