Best Latin Fusion in Tacoma

There's lots of great haunts on 6th Ave in Tacoma, but a standout is Asado. It has great Latin fusion and a decent wine list. For Tacoma it's on the spendy side, but is very reasonable in terms of the quality and quantity of food for the meal. If you're a carnivore, I recommend a steak selection.

We were fortunate enough to be at the opening party of Asado years ago, and it's still the fun, bustling restaurant with seasoned servers and great food! Always busy, so I'd recommend a reservation, or you can hang out in the bar. Great for larger parties due to the 'open' layout, but quiet corner tables for couples. Great vibe -... More

Perhaps I am biased, but we had our local conference group in Tacoma, WA eat at Asado while we were in town, and the guests from all over the US thought this place provided exceptional food at below market prices.

Favorite restaurant in Tacoma. The steaks, the spices, the specials, the drinks; everything. Love this place. Best polenta, lentils, and desserts anywhere.

The food is amazing, One of the best meals I have savored in a long time. This was our first visit & I completely agree the food steals the show here. The meat cooked to tender perfection with a fig glaze, the purple smashed potatoes and the freshest corn off the cob side I have ever had the pleasure of... More

We used to love Masa. E9 has alway disappointed us so we were not exceptionally excited about checking Asado off our Tacoma bucket list. We were pleasantly surprised though! The service was excellent--attentive and friendly. We opted to order things outside of our comfort zone so we went for the Diablita martini (I think?--habanero vodka, passionfruit and pineapple juice). It... More

We dropped in with a party of nine and had a great time all the way around. Menu has great selections and everyone liked what they ordered. Service was friendly, warm, and engaging, though somewhat neglectful. This didn't detract from the overall good time, but should be noted. We all agreed Asado is a keeper and we're looking forward to... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant on a date night by mistake we were originally supposed to go to a different place, but so glad we ended up there. We had Megan as our waitress and she was very nice, and patient since we had never been before. The food was amazing the appetizers were delicious the drinks were... More

Excellent food all around, you can't go wrong with any dinner. I absolutely love their steaks. Great extensive wine list. Great service. I have traveled all over the globe, including France and you can't beat this Creme Brulee, it is spectacular! Make a reservation or call ahead if you plan to eat dinner here. Also plan ample time to find... More

It doesn't matter what you order, the seasoning will be the same. We started with the muscles in cream sauce and they were excellent with a slightly spicy taste. I then had the blackened trout with rice risotto, and the seasoning was exactly the same as with the muscles in both dishes. My wife had a seafood combination plate which... More
