Red curry duck

Delighted to discover an affordable restaurant within a block of the hotel Murano with amazing food. Had the red curry duck (lychees added unexpected sweet twist), eggplant with sweet Thai basil and the Phad Thai. All were great. Service was friendly and attentive.

I love this place! The food is better than any other Thai in Tacoma. This is the place of choice for us and many other friends. I will say that Indochine has better ambiance and other places have less expensive dishes. Still, the quality here is above and beyond and worth a couple of extra bucks.

I stopped in on a weekday for a quick lunch and found this eatery packed and jumping as usual. Waitstaff were friendly and accommodating as always. The food was plentiful and hot. I'd tell you what I ate but I can't spell it. Let's just say it was "pad see you" and you will know what I mean. It's consistently... More

You learn your lesson rather quickly when coming to Galanga---you should have made a reservation. The staff is very pleasant and somehow will fit you in, but at least for dinner you should expect a wait. The food will be worth the wait and the choice on the menu will be somewhat different than many other Thai restaurants. We particularly... More

Some of the best Thai food in Tacoma. Lots of menu options, something for everyone. The duck curry was the star of our meal. Looking forward to visiting again to try some of the other menu options. Sincerely welcoming and friendly staff, fast and efficient. Pricing is very reasonable, the atmosphere comfortable and family friendly. The excellent service and flavorful... More

Great authentic thai food. Decor is a little bland and the music playing is a little off putting as I was there with a buddy and romantic music was playing......(not cool). The food is awesome, authentic and well priced. Give it a try.

I am a business traveller who worked in Tacoma for a year. My office building was right across the street for Galangas. I waited several months before trying the restaurant. What took me so long?! The food was fantastic. I expect ally love the Pad Thai. You can get it as hot or mild as you like. It was so... More

While driving from Portland to catch a plane at SEA-TAC we needed to fill our bellies. We drove around looking for something still open and luckily found Galangal. The owner invited us in, even though they were 15 minutes from closing, and the waitress was very attentive. In the two weeks of traveling around the northwest, this was the best... More

Pad Thai was very good. Beef noodle soup, curry and crab wontons are good also. Big portions, reasonable prices.

Hands down. Galanga was the best part of my recent visit. I was sick, losing my voice, and needing to lead a 2-day training. I opted for the 4 star spicy Ginger Wok with shrimp. Yum...l wish I could say that it cured me (not so much). But, despite the virus it tasted DELICIOUS. Not to mention the friendly, helpful... More
