Good experience!

Went on New Years Eve before First Night...no reservations but glad we sat at the sushi bar. Chef Juan was dishing out samples (spicy tuna, mushroom salad). We split California roll, gyoza, seaweed salad and had plenty of food at reasonable prices. Jenna, our server was very attentive. This... read more

We like sitting at the sushi bar to watch the action. It's amazing how the chefs manage to work so efficiently in a small space. Been here many times. On last visit, my chicken katsu meal included miso soup, salad, rice, and also a side of vegetables (beans, bamboo shoots, and beans.) Generous portion of food! Masahiro Endo's restaurant has... My husband and I went for dinner. Other than the ramen it was tasty. Atmosphere: relaxing, bonus points for BGM from the 80's and early 90's. Service: fantastic Sushi: maki and sushi were fresh and delicious Ramen: broth suffering from sodium overload, I'm sure the noodles were good, but the broth was so salty that is the only thing that... During our stay in Tacoma, we were looking for a sushi place close to our hotel. Based on those criteria, we walked over to Fujiya. What a lucky break. The sushi is really delicious. Our server directed us to his favorite rolls and also suggested several specials that were especially great. The Kitana roll was the highlight, but everything was... More

Even after 20 years this old Tacoma landmark is consistently great. Fresh food and great service and awesome presentation.

We visited on a Monday night, when the concierge at our hotel said we were not likely to find a good place for sushi open. The wait staff was friendly and helpful during our first adventure sampling sushi. The chef even sent out an extra plate to taste. This place seems hidden off the beaten track but really was in... My need for a fresh sushi and lighter-than-air tempura takes me to downtown Tacoma several times a year, and it's definitely worth the trip! If there is a seat available at the bar, take it -- you can watch the skilled chefs assemble your sushi before your eyes. Lunch can be a real adventure, as the sushi and sashimi are

While the food is delicious and impeccable - the service is sometimes slow and agonizing - but the food is well worth the wait.
