This restaurant was suggested by another friend. I went on a Monday after work. The pace was slow but that was fine with me. The dining area was nice and inviting. My waiter, Mark was excellent. Very attentive, funny, professional with a great smile. The food was wonderful. I had the grilled pork chop with cherry chutney. The meat was tender... More

Never expected to enjoy the margaritas (rocks no salt for us) so much! My husband chose this restaurant based on a coupon he found online. I am so glad he did! We both had lamb shanks...very tasty, with the baked garlic mash and carrots in a delicious mint sauce. We decided to skip dessert and go for a second round... More

Had to come back to Primo again as this restaurant has been a long time favorite when in Tacoma. Food this time was okay but not up to previous standards. Entree serving size was small and the food came lukewarm. Scallops were chewy. The salmon special was a $38 for a small serving. Will be looking for other options next... More

We came for a cozy Valentines Day dinner with friends, and had a very good time. Everything was excellent, from appetizer to wine to entree to dessert. Our calamari was perfectly cooked, and my salmon with olive sauce was great. The sauce complemented the salmon, never overwhelming it. I liked the open kitchen concept, visible from the restaurant, and from... More

Very kind service, but food and wine overpriced and food had too many competing flavors. Simpler and fresher and more reasonably priced would make sense. Interior decor closer to TexMex or country bar and inconsistent with prices.

Primo Grill was recommended by a golfing buddy last summer and wow was he ever right on! We have been there four times since, even though it is a 45 minute drive for us to get there. We particularly like the happy hour and sitting in front of the wood fired oven at the bar. There appetizers are "out of... More

House made fettuccine! Sticky toffee pudding! Wood fire grill! Nice atmosphere and very clean restaurant, you can't go wrong with this place.

The food here was nice and the staff friendly enough, but the portion sizes were very small. After a tiny starter from the happy hour menu and a main each (my wife's pasta dish was particularly small) we were both still really hungry and decided to finish eating at home - and we're both quite small people and don't have... Our first visit here in August was superb in every way: food quality, service, wine, everything. This second visit was therefore confusing. Missing was what assume to have been the head chef, so perhaps that was the cause for delays in appetizers, poor quality steak, overcooked veggies, and a truly awful tiramisu mostly cream). I'll give it a third chance,... More

We went here with local relatives who knew the restaurant well. It has an attractive modern décor and ambience. We ate in a booth which was doubtless quieter than on the main floor and we were able to talk in comfort, though it helped that it was a fairly quiet evening there. An interesting variety of dishes with imaginative touches.... More
