I needed a suitable spot to hold the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding. We live in FL so all was handled long distance, sight unseen, and relying heavily on Trip Advisor. Well, last night we had our dinner with 34 in attendance and it was a great success. From Jacqueline, the owner, to our servers Katie and Allison, and...

Primo Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in Tacoma. I mean, come on..an Irish chef who cooks Italian with Northwest ingredients! How can you go wrong? The food is always excellent and a seat at the cook bar is always entertaining. The wine list is great too..a little Northwest, a little Italian and California..you'll find something tastey to go...

This is one of the best restaurants in Tacoma. They locally source all their food, so the the menu changes with the seasons, but is always excellant. Chef Charlie Manos does a great job with everything. All the dozens of times I have been here, I have never had a bad dish. Fine wine collection to go along. Make reservations...

My wife and I went to Primo Grill for the first time. We were seated precisely at the time of our reservation. The subdued lighting and original paintings and open grill some feet away created a cozy and vibrant atmosphere. My lamb shank melted off the bone and the special sauce for the potatoes was delicious. My wife's (we share...

We stumbled across this restaurant a couple years ago when we were in Tacoma and looking for something in the Proctor district. The minute we saw their decor and menu we could tell it would be a good spot! The interior is warm and inviting with a viewable exhibition kitchen, the staff is warm and friendly, and the dishes unique....

We stumbled upon Primo Grill a couple of years ago and loved it. We happened to be in Tacoma again and hungry. Not remembering what we liked, I suddenly remembered Primo. Man, was I happy that brain cell fired! Everything from the ambiance, to the staff to the 'cook line' seating was exceptional: Not pretentious or over the top, but...

Chef/Owner Charlie McManus and his wife Jacqueline have hit it out of the park with this wonderful restaurant. Innovative menu items, deliciously prepared before your eyes in the open grill. Wine pairing recommendations by Jacqueline never fail to disappoint. Our favorite location for romantic evenings or special occaison meals, even Easter brunch.
I've been 3 times this Fall for their happy hour. Very good bar food and inexpensive. The asparagus with truffle oil is outstanding.
Busy restaurant on a Saturday night with no reservations but they were able to seat us at the bar, very comfortable seating with a front seat view of our food being prepared. Everything flows so effortlessly. We love the service as much as the food.
