First, the food here is very good, affordable and the portions are just right, The Kielbasa is very good, probably the best I had in many years. We (four of us shared our orders) also had the Bruno's Schnitzel, Cabbage roll and Potato Pancakes (Latkes) which were all excellent and hearty. The staff was wonderful, friendly and accommodating ... with... More

I love German food. Bruno's is about the only restaurant in the local area that serves it. Imagine my delight when I was greeted and seated quickly and a large imported beer was placed in front of me. My wife had wine and the kids had soda. The menu has numerous choices. The food is prepared under the direct supervision... More

I was turned on to Bruno's long, long before their appearance on Diners Drive-Ins, and Dives. I love their fantastic food, their great service, and their fun employees--it's a rare trip there when I don't end up laughing with at least one of them. Their dill pickle soup and their cucumber salad are two of my very favorites, and their... More

After living in Poland for two years and coming to love the food and beer, I missed it on my return to the US. Bruno's, though, brought me back to my days in Poland and traveling around Germany and Eastern Europe. The food was delicious. The owners and staff excellent. The beer was Polish, at least the one I ordered... More

Bruno's is in a tiny spot tucked into the armpit of a freeway onramp in Tacoma, next to a "gentleman's club" but well worth the trip! Their Jäger Schnitzel with hunter's gravy, red cabbage and spatzle is a big portion - but I ate every bite anyway! Fabulous! My friend, raised on her polish mother's cooking, had the polish platter... More

Bruno's is the place to go if you're looking for authentic German Food in the Tacoma area. The staff is friendly, the service is great, and the food is just like grandma used to make! YUM!

My mother asked that we celebrate her 86th birthday at Bruno's and she was happy to see many of the dishes she was served as a child on the menu. The staff was friendly, the wine and beer selection was very nice, and the menu included a nice combination of German and Polish dishes as well as some hamburger selections... More
