The entire staff and management were so friendly. We sat at the bar after going to the Museum of Glass. Talked with Jack about the Chihuly glass they have on loan there. Everyone was great, along with the food. Hightly recommend it.

Handy for our hotel, only a few minuites walk which was essential after our long flight and little in the way of food. A restaurant and pub which sometimes has live bands which we unfortunately missed, the food was good, nothing special but OK, staff were helpful and friendly. Suited our requirements for the night as we required something quick.

Unfortunately visited on night of Katy perry concert so were not serving regular menu. Hummus was okay but little choice for gluten free. Friendly people and eye popping collection of dale chiluily glassware which will probably fund their retirement.

Live music and affordable, good food make this an appealing spot. It's got some fun retro decorations on the walls and it's a cool room--a high ceiling with lots of interesting pop art and posters on the walls.

The Swiss is an easy walk from the downtown Tacoma museums. Food is better than average bar food, especially the brats. Service was outstanding; ambiance interesting. Lunch time mid-week it was not busy. Would like to return and sample other dishes.

I've been working in Tacoma for two months. I didn't know anyone here when I arrived from England and my workmates commute each day from Seattle.. Fortunately, I wandered into The Swiss my second weekend here. Every single member of staff I met there was extremely pleasant, fun and welcoming. As a woman on my own, it was really good... More

The Swiss is a Tacoma favorite conveniently located across the street from the extension campus of the University of Washington. The restaurant/bar offers pool, sports tv channels, great burgers, a variety of nicely portioned appetizers and a menu of music events ranging from blues to rock. Check website for calendar and happy hours that feature free pool. Kid friendly until... More

Visited based on tapadvisor.com recommendation. Excellent selection of beers. African Amber and Snowcap are great. I had the pan fried oysters and highly recommend them. The décor is authentic and there is Chihully glass on display (but not at eye level). I would like o know how old the bar is but it looks authentic. Will go again, soon.

A recent visit proved a disappointment for me and my dining companion. As customers from days gone by, neither of us found the newish menu or table service (we used to order at the register) was anything to crow about. Our server was overly faux-friendly in that way where endearments are used with complete strangers-ugh. The food is just average,... More

We went to this pub with our friends and were pleasently surprised at good beer and food. I tried their reuben sandwich and it was way above average. Beer was good and it was not crowed so we had a very nice time visiting with our friends. We will be back to this nice, friendly place. It is just across... More
