Stopped in for lunch

Been hearing about and wanting to try The Swiss for almost two decades. It did not disappoint. My husband had brats and I have the swiss dip. Both were excellent. Hope to be back soon

This is a must visit place in Tacoma. It is big enough to to host live music but manages to maintain a local pub kind of vibe. One room is dedicated to pool and various other bar games. We have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. I would recommend the Swiss for either a nice pub lunch or... More

Always lively place, even on the cold nights. Great beer selection and friendly staff. They have some interesting arcade games for those who like to play like a kid.

We where visiting Tacoma from Vancouver Island and found this place by chance. Our server "Steve" made it awesome. He was doing the bar but seen us alone and came to our rescue. We had a bottle of wine and split the fish & chips and it was amazing. A must go to if in the area. Thanks Steve.

I met a colleague here for lunch recently. We both opted for their house chili. Excellent! The menu looked varied and interesting, the service was prompt and courteous and the location - right in the heart of Tacoma's UWT district - is convenient and vibrant. I will be back!

I've been to The Swiss many times and have never had a bad experience. I love their selection of beers on tap, the well executed food, and the openness of the pub. They always have something going on and the atmosphere inside is electric. The only downside to The Swiss is the availability of parking. Parking is virtually non-existent. There... More

I have been to The Swiss twice now. Both times were to see the Afrodisiacs play. First time it was crowded but fun. Last night it was not so crowded but very hot in there. Had some sliders and fries, both were very good. Great place to dance with friendly people.

This place isn't much to look at, but the burgers are great, the beer selection is big and the service is very friendly.

This is a great pub with fun atmosphere, interesting décor (think Swiss chalet plus exquisite Chilhuly glass) and excellent food. Our party of sixteen was promptly seated at our reserved table, the service was swift and friendly and everyone enjoyed their meal. The menu was hearty pub fare, reasonably priced and delicious. We took advantage of the night's special deal... More

A staple of downtown Tacoma and literally a landmark destination. The Swiss is a place you just have to visit. Great local craft brews on tap along with a very abundant selection of other beers that should agree with many beer palates. They also serve up spirits and have a full bar to accommodate those that prefer spirits over beer.... More
