Accommodating service and good food

We walked in 6:30 on a Saturday evening and were able to get a table. The waitress and maitre d were particularly accommodating as I wanted a table near the AC (it was very hot outside) and she moved a reservation so we wouldn't be near a large party. The menu had changed from what was online and... read more

We just stopped in for small plates on our way out to explore a few other places. We ordered the cocktail flight--which was fun and creative. The beer list is just ok but it seems like they are more of a cocktail place anyway. Thankfully they offered a craft beer or two and a local option. The beet and quinoa... More

Dined there on a Wednesday evening. Restaurant definelty not busy (one large group of 10 and two other couples there, no one @ the bar) they seated us near the kitchen with some kind of curtain covering the door. That was rather distracting with servers coming and going and the curtain flying open, actually a little comical. Service was slow... More

First time patrons and had an awesome experience. Happened to choose a night they had a jazz trio playing, (amazing), and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. They were flexible on seating; (arranged for us to sit near the stage). There was no rush by our waiter who was friendly and very helpful. The menu had a good variety, (maybe... More

The duck and mushroom risotto was to die for. Cooked beautifully, the duck was complimented by a flavorful risotto nestled in a pool of dee-lish sauce. It was pricey, but duck "ain't cheap" and besides... I got two meals out of it, so I am a happy camper :)

The menu on trip advisor is not their menu. None of that food is now here. No bread service, no salad service. You want a dinner salad? That's $8 more. Entrees are $25-$32 Met there for our Daughter's and Son-in-Laws 1st wedding Anniversary. Central location. 4 stars on Trip Advisor. Plenty of street parking. Though the outside of the building... My husband and I received a gift card to Maxwell's for Christmas so we decided to give it a try. We both fell in love! We ordered hot wings as an appetizer and they were really unique-tasting, but very good. Then I had creamy carbonara noodles and my husband ordered a burger. I think the noodles that I had were... We were looking for a quality, non-chain, intimate restaurant for a good dinner before attending a live performance. Maxwell's was recommended by a friend. I had the pot roast, which was great. Everybody was pleased. We made reservations on line. Would go back again.

We ate in the bar at happy hour. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Drinks arrived quickly. The food we ordered off the happy hour menu was fast and good--$4 per item. We had sliders (2 on a plate, BLTs, but it appears they change); fish tacos (salmon, good, but not very flavorful); beet salad (delicious); and, the best of the... More
