Yummy Duck!

The duck and mushroom risotto was to die for. Cooked beautifully, the duck was complimented by a flavorful risotto nestled in a pool of dee-lish sauce. It was pricey, but duck "ain't cheap" and besides... I got two meals out of it, so I am a happy camper :)

The menu on trip advisor is not their menu. None of that food is now here. No bread service, no salad service. You want a dinner salad? That's $8 more. Entrees are $25-$32 Met there for our Daughter's and Son-in-Laws 1st wedding Anniversary. Central location. 4 stars on Trip Advisor. Plenty of street parking. Though the outside of the building... In my search for a great meal, I stumbled across this FANTASTIC restaurant and was THOROUGHLY impressed by EVERY aspect of my dining experience! Maxwell's a BEAUTIFUL, sexy, inviting restaurant that boasts a TRULY impressive menu that is executed with genius! My dining experience included: 1. Tuna Tartare - DELICIOUS!!! 2. Caesar Salad - VERY NICE!!! 3. Espresso-rubbed Duck Breast... More

My husband and I received a gift card to Maxwell's for Christmas so we decided to give it a try. We both fell in love! We ordered hot wings as an appetizer and they were really unique-tasting, but very good. Then I had creamy carbonara noodles and my husband ordered a burger. I think the noodles that I had were... We were looking for a quality, non-chain, intimate restaurant for a good dinner before attending a live performance. Maxwell's was recommended by a friend. I had the pot roast, which was great. Everybody was pleased. We made reservations on line. Would go back again.

We ate in the bar at happy hour. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Drinks arrived quickly. The food we ordered off the happy hour menu was fast and good--$4 per item. We had sliders (2 on a plate, BLTs, but it appears they change); fish tacos (salmon, good, but not very flavorful); beet salad (delicious); and, the best of the... More

We chose Maxwell's for our family Christmas Dinner a few days before the holiday, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice! One of us is both gluten/dairy free; another is following the Paleo diet. Maxwell's staff caterers to each diner's needs, and still manages to present a wide variety of mouth watering choices for each course - really... More

Date night: indie film at The Grand Cinema, followed by jazz and dinner at Maxwell's. Fantastic. Excellent service by the friendly staff, nice wine list, inventive cocktails, excellent food. We'll go there again.

When our daughter was attending college in Tacoma, her girlfriends took her there when she turned 21 all because she has the same last name! When our family made a trip to WA for her graduation, of course all of us Maxwells had to go. For a pub, it has atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food and great jazz ensemble.

We traveled from out of town to spend the weekend with our Son and Daughter-in-law, the guys did guy things while us girls attended her baby shower. They had been talking for years about Maxwell's and wanted to share...so glad they did! It was a fantastic evening all around. Great service, amazing food...the Max+cheese and goat cheese were wonderful apps.... More
