If your looking for a quick bite in Tacoma, Paya Thai Fish & Chips is my favorite. The food is good. It is a great value. The portions are generous. The staff is very friendly. They make eating there super fun. I recommend the Clam Chowder. It is very rich and loaded with clams & bacon.

After reading the reviews I had to try Paya on my trip to visit relatives. I was not disappointed. The restaurant is in a cool "ethnic food" food court in a historic building. The portions are fairly large and the panko batter is excellent. The size, cut and quality of the cod is ridiculous! One piece is the equivalent of... More

Stopped here 10 minutes before closing on a hot August night. Owner was closing up but welcomed us with open arms and served us with great pride. Panko fish and chips with shrimp was more than enough. Several free extra glasses of iced tea and lemonade rounded out a great meal. My only wish was the old train station where... More

I was very impressed with the food presentation and service. Was expecting a meal in a plastic or paper boat, but was served a great meal on glass plates with a decorative garnish that you'd expect to find in a 5 star restaurant. Seafood was fresh and well prepared. I would return to this restaurant if I am ever back... More

We had read many wonderful reviews and even been told by friends how good the fish was here. It was HORRIBLE. It was the worst frozen plank of mealy fish substitute I've ever had... worse than frozen generic fish sticks. Don't waste your time or money here.

We have been here in Tacoma on business for a few days...and wanted some really good fresh seafood, that didn't break the bank. We used to come to Tacoma (maybe 15-20 years ago) to do the antique show in the Dome. I remember that we had fabulous seafood here then, and I believe it was the same place we had... More

We just kind of stumbled onto this place after leaving the Glass Blowing Museum. The place is in a closed in mall with lots of other kinds of restaurants in it and little stores. We almost didn't stop but glad we did. I had the clam chowder, very very good, and I am picky about my chowder meaning it must... More

We ended up eating here because the place we had come to eat had gone out of business. The service was amazing and the food not only delicious but artfully arranged. It looked like some of the dishes we have eaten on the cruise ships. I had the fish and salad with mango dressing. My husband ordered the fish, shrimp,... More

we read the good reviews of this place on tripadvisor, and agree this is a great place. It's just 2 blocks down from the best western tacoma dome, in a food court. We have been twice. First we had the meal deal with fish and chips and the clam chowder. all excellent , and enough for 2 of us to... More
