Went there for dinner after reading some of the good reviews. We have been to other dukes locations and enjoyed them ( Hawaii California). This dukes was a huge disappointment, food was mediocre at best. cod & Chips were small portions and not very tasty. The 8 oz pan seared halibut was ok at best but a tad over cooked... More

It was the day before I was riding in the Seattle to Portland Bike Ride, and I decided to pay a visit here with some friends for lunch, there was a 15 minute wait to sit outside, obviously it was a really sunny day in Tacoma, but we ended up sitting inside where there was air conditioning and only a... OK, I didn't try the chowder (shame, shame, I know), but don't fault me; it was one of the few 90-degree days in Tacoma! Instead I went with an ice-cold brew and the salmon slider app. Hit happy hour and this place gets even better. I haven't been to a happier happy hour in quite some time. The salmon sliders... More

Went here for lunch when visiting for work, had the fish taco combo with clam chowder and the clam chowder was wonderful. I really like how they put the plate together with the taco, tortilla chips and the chowder perfect lunch meal, not too much just enough. We sat outside on the deck and the view of the sound and... My wife and I stopped by here after having a totally awesome day visiting the Point Defiance area. This area is just incredible, but I'm here to write about Dukes. This was a lunch and the way the food was prepared and presented, it was more like a dinner class service. I got the Cherry Salmon special and a "II... More

Duke's lives up to it's name "Chowder House". They serve very good clam chowder. I ordered the Rockfish Taco combo (or something like that!) which was a cup of their great chowder and a very tasty fish taco with tiquilla lime aioli & mango salsa with tortilla chips. The taco is overflowing with fish. Order the fabulous carrot cake for... More

A bit pricey, but we had a fantastic meal with amazing service. Try a combo so you get some chowder. Very pleased by the healthy, appetizing children's menu.

My husband and I have always loved the Duke's Restaurants when we visit Washington. This was our first visit to this location. We had a great inside view table. Though I don't think there is a bad spot anywhere in this restaurant- including the Bar. All of the Staff that we met were very friendly and accommodating. We had several... More

We planned a reception/dinner at Duke's for a family reunion in honor of my mother's birthday. From the General Manager on the staff at Duke's did an excellent job of anticipating our needs, suggesting options, and fulfilling their commitments. On the night of the event the staff was caring and friendly and more than contributed to the event's success. Thanks much... More

We met friends for lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Dukes. The chowder and the view on the patio was spectacular. My caesar salad was blasé, my husband's spinach salad very good, service okay, and prices a little high but overall a nice place to go occasionally.
