Went with my cousin who lives in the area and met the owner Sarah. What a charming place! The food was very good. They had an accident in the kitchen with our meal but I said I would wait for them to prepare another. In the meanwhile I received a plate of fresh fruit which was delicious and the charge... More

I would not recommend this place. My husband and I went in on a Sunday were disappointed with both service and quality of food. There was no greeting when we walked in and we were left to figure out whether to find a table or wait for seating. It took at least 15 minutes for menus to be brought and... More

Since they have this new unprofessional cook the food is not good anymore. We waited almost one hour for 2 Reuben Sandwiches. It was a very fatty slice of meat and so thick you could not even bite into it. The fries were half raw. It was a waste of time and money. We used to like eating there but... More

I tried to bring wife here for breakfast on her birthday. We sat at an open table and waited and waited and in the end no one came to greet us or take out order. We left. Horrible to treat your guests with indifference.

I live right across the street from the Bair and eat there every Sunday; it's one of the best breakfast restaurant's I've eaten at anywhere out here. I try and eat something different each time I go and have never been disappointed. Good service with a military discount and for me very conveniently located.

Steilacoom is a beautiful town to visit. I have enjoyed breakfast at the Bair Bistro but I have also taken friends and family and they were disappointed in the slow service. Food is home-style. In other words it would replace what you might make at home. I like their French Toast and they know how to cook eggs. It does... More

This small building used to be the sole drug store, hardware store and post office for the small town of Steilacoom. It has been nicely preserved, like many of the late 19th- and early 20th-century structures in downtown. It is small, and can get crowded; the service is OK, and the food is adequate, but it is a fun place... More

My daughter and I dropped in to this musem and restaurant about 2 pm to experience the museum (the Bistro is decorated with drug and hardware supplies that used to be sold in this historic building) and to check out the food. My daughter loved the water so didn't order any other drink. She ordered the last red velvet cupcake... More

Visiting from East Coast and fell in love with this place. Everything was delicious! Corn beef hash, short stack pancakes, French toast. You can't go wrong! Highly recommend!

My wife and I ate here about 6 months ago and had a dismal enough experience that I talked to the owner/cook about it. So, we decided to try again and as far as I can tell, not many, if any of the issues have been resolved. The service is an afterthought because they are so busy doing side work... More
