We have been going to the Stanwood Pub & Grill for over 10 years, ever since we moved to the area.. It is a family operated, neighborly diamond-in-the-casual that is a distinctive relaxed adjunct to the parent Mount Vernon Max Dale's Steak & Chop House. The fortés are steak and seafood with the weekend prime rib a specialty I never... More

So they advertise King Salmon on the menu -- after all this is the Northwest -- but it was farm raised. No taste. Also, they need to learn how to cook a steak. This place is somehow connected to Max Dale's in Mt. Vernon. Believe it's the same family ownership. Food at the Stanwood Bar and Grill is always consistent. Seems to be busy whenever I stop in. Stanwood and Camano Island aren't known for their fine dining, but Stanwood Grill is one of the upcoming eateries that could change that. Upscale, but good value. The best meal we had in the twin cities, by far. Extensive wine list, with many local wineries represented.
