Saturday morning at the Stanwood Cafe for breakfast. Large portions, broad menu - quality meal, great service, very reasonably priced.

Service on the good side. Food has more variability. Anything with turkey is good (real turkey, not the pressed stuff), whereas the rest of the menu is typical diner/café fare. Nothing fancy, nothing outstanding and nothing was awful. Suspect breakfast may be where this place shines.

One of the few places in town that is open SUPER early for breakfast. Great stop when you have to be up early and don't want to cook but still want homemade food.

Everything about this diner is fairly ordinary but is a welcome change to chain restaurants. The cafe has a down-home feel, cooks breakfast like Mom would, and the staff are friendly. Our original host was not the best server (maybe she was new?) but the replacement server was very conscientious of what we needed, kept the coffee flowing, and was... More

We had blueberry pancakes and eggs and hashbrowns. All was good. Service was good. Atmosphere is a little run down. Nothing charming about the decor.

The building might not look like much, but the food speaks for itself. It is made in-house and reminds of something my grandmother might have made. They serve the best bacon I have ever had, and sell it to take out the door at their cost. They also serve fun seasonal dishes like pickled herring and lefse at Christmas. All... More

Nothing good I can say about this experience. Service was almost non existent, waited way too long for our food considering the place was empty (cook seemed to be on break?). Food was undercooked and greasy....and no apologies for any of it when we complained.

I go into the Stanwood Cafe very often and it's always great! The service is always friendly. Your coffee cup is always full, and that's important to me being a retired waitress. If you live here or just visiting you should try it. It has a real Home Town feel. Try it out!
