Best breakfast in Spokane. Extra grease - no charge! more
I recently visited Franks for my first time. I am a vegetarian, and there was not much vegetarian food for me, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and what they made for me was delicious. The old train car atmosphere was really unique and felt authentic. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, Franks won me over! more
Stopped in here before departing Spokane. Food was greasy but great diner food (biscuits were a little burned, but appeared to just be an accident on the cook's part). We sat at the counter, and it was a little warm being that close to the grill. It was cozy (being in an old train car), but neat experience. And the... more
I have to hit this place at least once every trip to Spokane. The portions are way too big, but very reasonably priced. The chicken fried steak is great, as is the hot beef sandwich. This is definitely a greasy spoon place, but in the best possible way. It's in an old rail dining car, so it's a bit cramped... more
My families favorite place to go when we are downtown. French Dip with mushroom and Onions is the best in town. Dont try to get in for breakfast on the weekend. To busy, but any other time is worth it. more
I have eaten at Frank's diner for breakfast and lunch several times, and every time I have been disappointed. Yes, the protions are huge sometimes (inconsistancy is a issue), the prices are way out of line for the quailty. Service is okay, not great. I always feel rushed to get out (it is a small place). When I am in... more
The eggs were overcooked, the sausage was greasy but the hashbrowns were good and so was the service. Waited a while for a seat, but wondered why when we got our food. more
Stumbled on and into Frank's Diner during a trip to Spokane last week. Record snow made the walk challenging but I'm glad we made the trek. Breakfast was great! Eggs Benedict for my dining partner and a simple scramble with bacon for me. Large portions. From reading other reviews, I can see where this place could get crowded; it's juts... more
My husband, being a native of Spokane, took me here on our recent trip to visit his relatives for Christmas. My grandfather worked for over 40 years with the Pullman company, so it was a special treat for me to experience a Pullman car to have breakfast in. The food was perfect, and stealing a bite of my husband's toast... more
Wayy too busy! I didn't think it was that great for the price and long wait to sit down. more
