Your local greasy spoon

Think of the mom and pop place where the locals go back home, and you have Franklie Doodles. The service was much better than the food. My chicken was good. My wife's meatloaf and mashed potatoes were drowned in gravy and she scraped most of it off (salty gravy) to eat what was under there. Dessert... read more

Frankie's has been here forever. The owner and employees are real people who obviously like what they do. Breakfast is good and the prices can't be beat. An all around great place to eat.

This was our first trip to Spokane. Our hotel was within a block of this establishment. The building did not look shiny and inviting BUT what a friendly welcome we received when we entered. The waitress was quick and efficient. Appeared to have frequent happy, local customers. We love to have breakfast items for dinner. Large menu. Eggs perfectly cooked.... More

older restaurant but always had good food here. sometimes a bit slow but always worth the wait. good assortment on the menu, and usually the waitress's are a lot of fun, no grumpies here. and for your viewing pleasure you can watch all the people over at dicks, and all the assorted wild animals roaming the area.

My 12 and 8 year old wanted to go somewhere they had never been, and they chose this one (as they have seen the sign from the freeway every time we come to Spokane). To be honest, I was a little sketched out when we pulled up because the neighborhood seems a little scary, however once inside we found a... More

A rainy night in Spokane. Stopped at the first BIG sign for a restaurant. Maybe this was once the place, but now it is NOT! Staff was one waitress and a kid cooking. Dinner right out of the microwave. Only the French Fries were decent. Skip this place.

We met up with family to have breakfast before leaving Spokane, Sat in a booth and enjoyed a very good breakfast, good hashbrowns and our waitress was wonderful, very attentive. Prices were very reasonable....enjoyed it very much...huge servings.

Great omelet. Excellent preparation and served hot. No brown on the egg yet cooked through. Great ingredients. Nice hash browns. Decent bread offerings. Fair price. Very good service.

Frankie Doodles is great. Reminds me of the good ole days. It is a classic rad-side diner / coffee shop. Are you old enough to remember when Little Black Sambo's and Bob's Big Boy restaurants were in every town? The menu is extensive, the food is good at a good value and the staff is very warm and friendly. Service... More

I dine here every time I come to Spokane. The staff is very friendly and the food is terrific! I visit about every 6 months and the staff remembers me.
