Frankie Doodles is great. Reminds me of the good ole days. It is a classic rad-side diner / coffee shop. Are you old enough to remember when Little Black Sambo's and Bob's Big Boy restaurants were in every town? The menu is extensive, the food is good at a good value and the staff is very warm and friendly. Service... More

I dine here every time I come to Spokane. The staff is very friendly and the food is terrific! I visit about every 6 months and the staff remembers me.

I've lived in Spokane for 40 years and this is the first time I have been in. I think it was a VIPs originally. It was pretty good. A bit like a Denny's but localy owned. The place was clean (don't let the outside fool you) and the staff was very friendly. They seem to have a cadre of regulars.... More

This place is great if you're looking for a nice greasy, cheap meal. Otherwise the atmosphere is dated, the clientelle can be sketchy, but the waitresses are spunky and hard working.

The only reason I don't give this one star is because the people working there are pretty nice. Food is gross, we couldn't eat it. And the place looks like you stepped back into the early 70's. A dirty early 70's.

I almost hate to write this because the wait staff is so nice there. But the food is average to dismal and the decor looks as though nobody has cared one whit for the place for decades!

Frankies is no longer 24 hours. And prices have far outraced inflation. I went there a year ago and I ws rushed through because they wanted to close. And a restaurant where the server knows nothing about the dishes is very suspect. Frankies is a landmark no more.

We were looking for a place to have late breakfast, and we were suggested to try Frankie Doodle's. What such a good suggestion! We ordered what they called a small portion of toast, eggs and sausage. We added 2 tuna salads, thinking that the small breakfast portion would not be enough, but when we saw the food being brought out....wow!... More

On the way to the airport we stopped off the Hwy and picked this place out of the blue. Sorry Frank but this place was bad. The staff was very nice, the dinner old and outdated, not to exaggerate, the food was inedible. My Wife got an omlette and I a hamburger paty and eggs. should have been simlpe. AND... More
