Great Food

I've wanted to try Ethiopian for a while and finally found someone willing to indulge with me. The food was good, but be prepared to eat with your hands as the authentic bread plate doesn't necessarily keep your pinchers clean. Will go back!

My wife spent a year in Ethiopia and we go to Ethiopian all the time. This is the best Ethiopian food I have ever had! We introduced a number of people to this wonderful food while we've been here. Try the vegetarian platter its a great way to get a mix of wonderful options if you are not yet familiar... More

This is a small, tidy restaurant in the Flour Mill. The food was quite delicious with great flavors. We ordered the vegetarian sampler for two with a couple of extra sides. Everything was fresh. The injera was plentiful and the spiced tea was refreshing. The staff was very friendly and came by our table several times to make sure we... More

Driving across country and had no idea what to have. Stumbled on this place and glad we did. A great change from the norm. Lots of flavor and the kinds lived that they could eat with their hands. If you looking for a change from the same old non descript stuff you get most other places... This is worth a... More

Had never tried Ethiopian food before, and will probably not return. The bread had a distinct vinegary flavor, the food highly spiced to the point I couldn't eat most of it. Went with a group, and they obviously were not able to accommodate us. We sat cramped into the hallway of the shopping center. Service again wasn't set up for... More

Queen of Sheba is a true gem among the rough that is many of the ethnic restaurants in Spokane. The food is an absolute delight. Rich, complex flavors with varying degrees of heat. The vegetarian options are equally as good as the meat choices (try the chickpea entree or the sautéed greens). The beef sambusa appetizer is one of our... More

Queen of Sheba is the place we take people when we are looking for a delightful, unusual night out. A few things make this place outstanding. First of all,the prices are very reasonable. Secondly, the hostess/owner of the restaurant makes sure everyone feels welcome and makes it seem you are part of her extended family. Third, the food is first... More

As an Ethiopian American, I've had home-cooked meals and eaten at least 50 restaurants. This restaurant always stands out. The owner gets her ingredients fresh from Ethiopia. Once you taste the food, you're like "I'm in Spokane? And this is world-class." Be patient - everything is made from scratch. Ethiopian food is like meat stews and lentils with a wheat... More

Four of us ventured off our normal routine to try "Queen of Sheba". Not knowing what to expect with Ethiopian cuisine, we had a very open mind. The surprise was how good everything was. Eating with your hands only adds to the experience. The owner is a very nice, outgoing person that greets every patron and gladly answers questions and... More

Try this place, seriously. It's incredible. Been to a few Ethiopian places around the country now and this one beats them hands down! I recommend the veggie sampler so that you can try a little of everything, and it comes on a giant blanket of that wonderful spongy teff bread! Also it's crazy cheap for what you get!
