For the 20 years I have lived in Spokane , I've wanted to eat at this restaurant but it never seemed to be open. Tonight my husband and I drove by and saw that it appeared to be open. According to the sign out front they had indeed opened for dinner at 5 pm. It was now 8 pm. We... More

Best Thai in Spokane. Period. Service, price or atmosphere don't mean a thing to me if the food is fantastic. Itis.

Thai on First has the same decor it had in the late 1990's. Thankfully, another thing has stayed the same; it's terrific food. It's food has stayed consistently excellent for years. Spokane has a lot of bad Asian restaurants. There's a strange phenomenon that happens to Asian restaurants in Spokane. An Asian restaurant will get a following and then systematically... More

I have been to Thailand 4 times, one was a culinary tour where we learnt about the different regions, the flavors and indigenous ingredients. With that being said I can tell you that Thai on 1st is the best/authentic Thai Food in Spokane. Granted they don't always use the exact ingredients, mainly because they can't be found here but what... More

Service was the worst. Punk kid, who acted like we were not good enough to be there. Took 15 minutes to get our menus. Food literally, showed up at the table after an hour and fifteen minutes. Three plates of food, all way to salty, and over cooked. We left without finishing our lunch. They do not take Amex. As... More

Not my idea of what Thai food tastes like. So salty it would poison your dog. No other flavor to speak of. I think the Pork might have been off. It had a strange smell. When I described this to my waiter, he explained that this is how authentic Thai tastes. My husband asked for Thai Chile sauce on the... More

Family owned restaurant, great service. Great Thai food. Very spicy, but you can choose how hot you want your dish. I'll be back.

We came on a business trip and the food was wonderful. The waiter was very kind and made excellent recommendations especially in regard to choosing how many stars to order! The atmosphere is pleasant and humble with a lot of seating. It did, however take us almost 40 minutes to be served. They were moderately busy when we arrived with... More

I've tried many dishes, this time the Panang for lunch. I was surprised they didn't have lunch specials which is a drag if you're eating alone. The Panang chicken was just that panang sauce over chicken with some small bits of red bell pepper. Wish they had the typical lunch specials that gave a single diner more variety.
