In July of 2010, Chef Anna Vogel and Operations Manager Bethe Bowman opened Italia Trattoria, a lively, regionally inspired Italian restaurant in historic Browne’s Addition just west of downtown Spokane. Chef Anna’s commitment to cooking seasonally with the finest local produce and artisan products available from Italy and the Pacific Northwest has differentiated Italia Trattoria from any other restaurant in Spokane. The menu has an eclectic mix of house made pastas, meats and fresh fish, salads and soups, and breakfast dishes on weekends. Our menu changes seasonally while offering some of our house favorite dishes year around. The menu is complimented by a well-received wine list with a primary focus on Italian producers and some local Northwest wines. We offer a full service bar with hand crafted martinis, barrel aged cocktails, fresh squeezed juices, and the best espresso in town. Whether you are in the mood for our grilled rack of wild boar with sweet potato gnocchi, a house made squid ink fettuccine with spicy wild shrimp, our charred octopus salad, the best meatballs in town, or our city wide famous zeppole doughnuts or tiramisu, come dine with us.

Good experience

We tried the restaurant and made the mistake of doing it on the Saturday night of restaurant week. This means it was packed the entire time and our server was less than attentive. We weren't seeking a deal so much so the restaurant week menu didn't offer much of interest. This is overall a cute... read more

We went for Restaurant Week but the regular menu sounded so good, we ordered from that instead! You can tell a good Italian restaurant from their risotto and that's what I did. It was served in a big bowl (enough for lunch another day) and delicious albeit a bit more liquid than what I'd expected. Hubby had spicy shrimp and... More

Bethe and Anna are owners of this wonderful, small restaurant in Browne's Addition, west of downtown. Bethe is the gracious manager of the restaurant and Anna creates Italian wonders in the kitchen. We go here anytime we can find an excuse. Service is phenomenal and we have never had a "miss" with the food.

We had a delicious dinner here which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Yes, it was pricey. However the food and service were both top quality which makes it all worthwhile. If you want to treat yourselves to a fine dining experience you won't be disappointed here.

This is the kind of restaurant you want to go to with friends who enjoy creative food with flare. It is not cheap but worth the price. I had the squid ink pasta with squid and shrimp - wow! very good. My husband had the lamb ragu and the flavor was superb. A friend had the mushroom Risotto - the... More

A friend treated me to dinner here; it was a first visit for both of us. We arrived right at 5 pm and realized there was zero parking. We had to drive around the block several times to find a place (about 2 blocks away at night not in the best neighborhood). The interior was casual, cozy, and warm, which... More

The food here is fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious thanks to an inspired and talented chef. A lovely ambiance in a charming neighborhood. My favorite place in Spokane for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch!

Intimate little bistro in Browns Addition. Every meal delicious. Try the chocolate cake if its on the menu. Add a capuccino for an amazing end to your meal. The brunch was a surprise. ..husband pronounced the Eggs Benedict as the best he'd ever had. I binged on the homemade "donuts. " Excellent Service. The only downside if that it fills... More
