Description: In July of 2010, Chef Anna Vogel and Operations Manager Bethe Bowman opened Italia Trattoria, a lively, regionally inspired Italian restaurant in historic Browne’s Addition just west of downtown Spokane. Chef Anna’s commitment to cooking seasonally with the finest local produce and artisan products available from Italy and the Pacific Northwest has differentiated Italia Trattoria from any other restaurant in Spokane. The menu has an eclectic mix of house made pastas, meats and fresh fish, salads and soups, and breakfast dishes on weekends. Our menu changes seasonally while offering some of our house favorite dishes year around. The menu is complimented by a well-received wine list with a primary focus on Italian producers and some local Northwest wines. We offer a full service bar with hand crafted martinis, barrel aged cocktails, fresh squeezed juices, and the best espresso in town. Whether you are in the mood for our grilled rack of wild boar with sweet potato gnocchi, a house made squid ink fettuccine with spicy wild shrimp, our charred octopus salad, the best meatballs in town, or our city wide famous zeppole doughnuts or tiramisu, come dine with us.

I had dinner with my wife and friends last night, it was was one of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant. I had a pork chop that was prepared differently than I've ever had it and it was excellent. All at our table raved about the food and our sever Jessie, his wine recommendation was first rate.... My wife and I had a spectacular date that included perfect service, delicious food and a nice bottle of Italian Wine! We made reservations 20 minutes before we went, shocked we got in on a Saturday night. Pretty low key, lots of fun!

Just back from Gonzaga's Fall Family Weekend and we had a very special evening out with our freshman daughter, her roommate and her parents. (The chalkboard sign outside even made us feel welcome...thank you for that!) We are trying to experience the great restaurants of Spokane when we get up there from San Diego and this is one, if not... More

Went here with our Gonzaga student during a family days visit. Tasty cocktails. Had excellent prosciutto and house made mozzarella, as well as calamari salad, for appetizers. Dinner was two of the seafood special, salmon, and the Squid ink tagliatelle and spicy wild shrimp. Everything was well prepared and nicely presented. Also tried a couple of desserts, including tiramisu, and... More

Simply and easily #1 in Spokane. Food is out of this world, fresh local produce, great presentation, all servers are great especially Myra. Owners are present, working but accessible. Wine list is very good. Eaten here 5 or 6 times in 2014 always a real treat. Personally I like the ambiance, fairly crowded, high energy, and when they open the... More

A sweet little local eatery. Very competent food, a nice ambience, professional staff, easy parking. Not fine dining but if you're expectations are pitched right you'll be more than happy. We were staying at a B&B round the corner in a suburban area and it's always nice to walk to a restaurant.

We tried this due to a Tripadvisor review - LOVED it! Great informal atmosphere - attentive service - and most important, genuinely delicious food! Not pretentious - but genuinely delicious food with intriguing ingredients.... will go back often I am sure!

We went to Spokane for a visit and Italia was recommended to us. We went there and ended up eating there twice during our stay. I must be honest and say that I'm a foodie and this place lived up to everything everyone told me. It was incredible, the food, the chef, the servers, the atmosphere and the wine selection.... More

Wow, we were really impressed. We have been on the road for a couple weeks, eating at good restaurants on Whidbey Island, Tacoma, and Chelan, and were staying just one night in Spokane in Browne's Addition. We were going to eat downtown and take in a movie, but decided to try the Italia Trattoria because it was so close. Myra... More

We love IT! We enjoy the food, the staff and especially speaking with the owners and chef at each visit. I haven't found a better Italian restaurant outside of Tuscany!
