The bibliopole in the adjacent bookstore (Auntie's) recommended this restaurant to us for lunch; we owe her many thanks. We sat at a table where we could see all of the meats cured on the premises in a cold case. The menu (daily changing) emphasized locally sourced foods. We both ordered the homemade draft ginger beer and were happy that... More

Couldn't get into any restaurants in downtown Spokane due to "The Book of Mormons" opening night. Finally secured two seats at the Butcher (the bar at Sante Restaurant) and waited for a LONG time before we were able to be served. It was not for lack of trying; the bartender and wait staff were working very hard trying to accommodate... More

Liked the variety of unusual choices on the menu (although needed to ask what a few of the terms and descriptions meant), and really liked the effort to source as much as possible locally. Interestingly redone space with high ceilings. The atmosphere is casual while the menu is elegant and even a little adventurous.

Perhaps our hopes were set too high. Most reviewers are quite pleased with their dining experience but we found the prices too high for what was offered and my beef meal, a kind of London Broil, had portions that couldn't even be eaten. Really a disappointment. My partner ordered the duck, which was better, but way overpriced. Then... no bread... More

The farm-to-table experience was amazing. I had the roasted pork tenderloin with white beans and carrot salad, which is far too simplistic of an explanation for the elegance and complexity of the dish. The Moscow Mule cocktail was served in a copper cup and was as authentic as they come. This restaurant is a gem and not to be missed... More

This place was a top find in Spokane. The menu changes nightly, but there is always a charcuterie plate with house-made delicacies and cheese with tidbits of taste for enhanced eating. Two of us shared as an appetizer, and this night we had duck prosciutto, a smoky, dark bite with a heavy taste of the alder wood lingering. The small... More

This is a little gem. Wonderful gourmet food. A small place with character and a chef who is very creative in using local ingredients. I have enjoyed dinner having a rich homemade pasta dish and I have had the cheese platter for lunch both were memorable.

First time here and I certainly would go back. Everything we had was fresh farm to table and the flavors fabulous. The menu explains which farms they work with. They cure there own meet and the pasta is also made on house. A must if you are coming to Spokane. A

I work above Sante's and frequent it almost every morning for it's delicious coffee and lattes. When we come here for lunch it is a real treat. I have never had something I didn't love and it they do a wonderful job of creating unique and very tasty dishes. The service is a bit slow, but they do not neglect... More

I almost always have the cheese plate, which is really good. It includes 3 types of cheese, various kinds of sausage, apple slices, odds and ends of raisins and walnuts and a little stack of garlic bread. I have found the staff to be very helpful and friendly.
