Good food, long wait

The wait can be long but is well worth the wait. The food is incredible and the pastries are so good.

Usually line up to get seated, which is pretty telling about the food and service...A little pricey, so only go there for special occasions. (what good places aren't pricey these days!)

Lots of food and very good. Wait staff was friendly. It was a wait for service because it was a holiday visit (4th of July) and it is a very popular place. I did not enjoy the weird "Pam" aftertaste the waffles have, so therefore a 4 star rating.

Great "home cooked" food and plenty of it. Very good service considering how busy they always are. Very dependable and consistent. When you need some serious comfort food, this is your place!

Went to our favorite breakfast place this morning, the Maltby Cafe. As always, the service and food were both fantastic. Have never had a bad experience here ever. How many places can you say that about?? Varied menu. $2.75 is a bit much for a tea bag and a little pot of hot water, but if that is all the... More

I dined here for breakfast with a friend. I moved away and haven't been back in over 5 years. It was just as delicious as I remember it! We ate a table with two other people because they were very busy when we were there. It didn't bother me at all. I got the northwest breakfast which was delicious and... More

We did have to wait some time but the food was just incredible. I had traditional bacon and eggs, my date had a meat omelette bursting with meat. Generous portions, and once seated the service was amazingly quick and efficient. We were married 2 months later...coincidence? 😃

Humongous portions do not make good quality food, seems to be restaurant for over-eaters. Nothing on menu is exceptional taste, just large farm breakfast.

We had to wait about 30 minutes for breakfast this morning, but it was worth it. It's always worth it. When we were seated with coffee and menus and made our choice, our food arrived very quickly. Today I had bacon and eggs with a biscuit, and my husband had corned beef hash. Both were excellent, as their food always... More

This morning my family treated me to a delicious birthday breakfast at the Maltby Café. My daughter and I split a yummy California scramble that contained avocado, bacon, cheese and other goodies. The side potatoes were prepared just right and their home baked toast is always a winner. One grandchild enjoyed a crepe with Marionberry filling and crème topping. As... More
