This place was the pits - filthy and lousy food. We heard about the new cook and tried it again . . . it was WONDERFUL. Wood bbq'd meats and delicious homemade potato salad. The generous portion meant that we had enough leftover for lunch the next day - that makes the price a bargain too. We are hooked!!!! PS... More

We FINALLY tried this place after several trips to Snohomish. We are from the Midwest, and know it's really hard to find good bbq in the Northwest. This place though...not so great. It was really cute on the outside, and not too bad on the inside...but it is a "shack"...meaning SMALL. Only about 5 tables inside, maybe 2 or 3... More

When they 1st opened and were getting a lot of attention from the News due to the naked pig's painted on the side of the building, the food was GREAT!! But after that they just went down hill. And seem to get worse each time I've been there. Hence the reason I will not go back. The food is over... More

We've eaten BBQ from Texas to Arkansas to St. Louis and tried quite a few places locally. I would say that if this establishment were in a decent area, with some parking, a little more room inside and we didn't feel like we were eating "fast food" out of styrofoam, it might be a bit more inviting. We've tried both... More

This is a tiny joint with not much atmosphere or class BUT we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Three of us had sandwiches (too large to eat at one sitting) and one had ribs. We enjoyed the variety of traditional sides and had no complaints.

Sorry, this is a cute little place, but the absolute worst BBQ I've ever had. There were NO ribs, everything was microwave warmed. Everything felt greasy and nasty. I'm so sorry, I just wish we had chosen a better place to have dinner. The waiter came out with food dripping from his face. Was he in the back tasting the... More

Yes, we were a bit concerned. We were planning our class reunion and a committee of five was chosen to select a caterer. We narrowed our list and made an appointment to visit The BBQ Shack in January. The food was excellent. But after visiting, we read some reviews that were really negative. We wondered if we had received a... More

The BBQ Shack is interesting to say the least. We stopped here after our 4th of July drive which was a bit surprising since one family member doesn't eat BBQ that much. Being such a rare nice day for the Fourth we took our BBQ to local park. There are a few outdoor seats in the small lot if one... More

I am from Texas, so I'm hard to please when it comes to BBQ here in the Northwest. But this place was actually pretty good! I would certainly go back for the ribs and cornbread. :)

This is not your typical place to eat. It's small (uni-sex bathroom), has '50ish furniture, and the employees were the owners. But the food was exceptional! We tried a variety and ate family style. The shredded beef and pork were so moist and the three varieties of BBQ sauce were very tasty. The ribs fell off the bone and were... More
