Good meal with interesting view

The John Wayne Marina is beautiful, and, every time we have passed through Sequim and tried to eat at the Dockside Grill, it was packed. However, this time we lucked out. View is fascinating with marina life. One draw back, restaurant is at same level as outside walkway. If the occasional smoker... read more

Outstanding cuisine, deserves a Michelin star. Casual setting, with no pretense, just quality. The lobster bisque was hot, creamy and fluffy, full of flavor, and the steamed mussels were prepared to perfection with a tasty and slightly piquant sauce. Great combination. My fellow diners were equally impressed with their various choices. Service was the best, with son of owners at... More

Driving around Sequim & Dungeness Spit made us both hungry for for fresh seafood. My husband wanted Halibut & Chips & I Dungeness crab. Sarah willingly convinced me to try the Crab melt over the Crab Louie. Generous FRESH tasting crab, light on mayo, sliced tomato, melted cheese on a soft fresh pan de amore bun. Plus I choose the... Excellent food and service. Unexpected treats like baked figs with chorizo, chèvre, and red wine reduction of some sort. Yum! Crab fritters were fresh and tasty. Tortellini was very good. Cheerful family operation. Happy customers. Great view!

I'd heard about Dockside but was told it was very pricey, so I finally tried it yesterday for lunch. I had a Bloody Mary which was excellent & hand-crafted. I had a cup of chowder which was $3 & well worth it. Next, I ordered one of my favorites, Seafood Louie ($22). It had crabmeat, prawns & scallops, lettuce, asparagus... More

We have been here several times, and have always enjoyed. The menu is fairly limited, but several of the dishes are very good. The halibut fish and chips are very nice, even considering that this region offers good fish and chips almost everywhere. I enjoy their sweet potato waffle-cut fries, and we like their version of clam chowder. Go with... More

Typically when we go to a place like this we would expect at ~40 a meal to be fed something superior to what we could make at home. You know, a treat. Unfortunately, overall I was very disappointed. The only saving grace was the two men refilling our water and taking plates, they were very nice. -Nobody asked if we... More

My wife and I ate there for my birthday. It was dark but I'm sure the views from the restaurant are fantastic. Everything from the appetizer to desert was incredible. We had the Dungeness crab fritters for our appetizer and shrimp & grits and bouillabaisse for dinner. The crab fritters were wonderful. The soup (French onion) was rich and absolutely... More
