We went out to celebrate my wife's birthday for some hiking and then a good dinner on the Olympic Peninsula. Sometimes the food is mediocre where the hiking is best, but not at the Alder Wood Bistro in Sequim, where my wife, daughter, son-in-law and I all had an outstanding meal. My wife and I started with a special appetizer,... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Sequim. Our first time visit was this past April, and we were just there this month for the second time. We made a reservation for the first time, but didn't this time, but since it was before 7:00, the restaurant wasn't busy yet. We ordered salad, galette, pizza and pasta with wine... More

Wonderful dinner. Wide selection of dinner options. Great wine list. Servers were clearly interested in making our evening a great experience. Worth a few minutes wait to sit in the garden, although the dining room looked charming.

Make reservations. If you can, sit outside. If it is fall or spring have a sweater and enjoy this amazing meal al fresco! Eat the special. Gabriel puts together an amazing local and organic mouth creation that is memorable and delicious. Take your time here. Make sure your dinner companion is interesting and isn't in a hurry. There is magic... More

Everything was great about this place-food, service, setting. They have gardens in their courtyard where they grow some of their food.

One of better lunch locations in area. Converted house just off Sequim Ave. Special salad was a marbled king salmon on mixed salad with small fresh strawberries, almonds, and a sprinkle of flower petals. Partner's lunch (shared) was a turkey, bacon, pesto with a very nicely seasoned cole shaw that has all Nash's ingredients. ..a top level local farm. Mixed... More

We eat here frequently and when the outside garden opens when the weather is great there is no better place to be. This time we split the Calamari salad and had the Surf and Turf with the salmon and Wagu Beef. A perfect meal! Great service and wonderful friendly staff, as usual. Don't miss it if you're in Sequim, but... More

We went because of the ratings on here. Our rating is much different than most. The service and food were lacking. We have eaten at some great restaurants while visiting in Sequem but this was not one of them.

It's always good knowing when you come to Alderwood you are going to leave full and happy. They have a great wine list and the menu is always changing with the season and what the local food purveyors are harvesting. They take the best ingredients and make something from nothing. I think the best time of year to go is... More
