A distinguished menu in an unlikely location. Log on their website for a sampler. Not inexpensive but worth a visit.

Came for the lavender festival. The food is okay but extremely overpriced. I think the reviews are hyped up due to a lack of choices in the town. Appearance and ambiance looks like someone's house. Receiving staff seems unorganized and abrupt (awkward moment when hostess volunteered info that the waitress will be her mom.) Waitress (hostess's mom) was friendly. Sat... More

I had lunch today with a couple of friends at the Alder Wood Bistro in Sequim, WA. We are leaving tomorrow just when the lavender festival is just starting. If you are planning a trip to this area you might want to know that the Lavender Festival is always the 3rd full weekend in Aug. We checked out a couple... More

This is a tiny restaurant not open every day. The atmosphere was ok, but very hot inside as the weather was unusually warm. That brought ants to our table which the waitress tried to remove without success. We thought the service was just ok, slow and intermittent. The food was meant to be local, organic and fresh. The preparation was... More

We tried the special spot prawns, octopus, together with oysters and clams. Very yummy. The NY steak was a perfect medium rare, and the salmon i had was served with a refreshing blueberry & raspberry salsa. Make sure you make a reservation. We dined there on a Saturday and it's absolutely packed.

We went with a small group on a Friday evening and sadly we were disappointed with the food and overpriced, but the presentation was lovely. Service was great and atmosphere was good, hoping there will be a change soon.

You wouldn't expect such a great restaurant in Sequim! Great menu with produce from local farms, mouthwatering dishes, great wine selection and the best (during summer): you can seat outside in their beautiful garden! Downside: they open only from Wednesday - Saturday...

In addition to the good food, we sat in a lovely backyard setting on a beautiful evening that all complained about being too warm. We loved it. The temp was about 75. Very nice, good humored waitstaff. And, as someone else remarked, quite the unexpected find in as modest a town as Sequim.
