We finally got to come in and try Black Bear Diner after hearing that it was supposed to be good. Hmmmm? Do all the servers act unprofessional and think they are entertaining? I found it rather obnoxious and on the rude side. Or maybe it was this one particular server we had. And it seemed to take quite awhile to... More

Sequim is a destination point a minimum of two times per year for the past 5 years. Have driven by the Black Bear numerous times. Remembered a previous experience in another state and decided, "Why not!?!?" Prior experience, I ordered a steak. This time I went for the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. My wife went for a simple salad.... More

First time visit at this restaurant and a huge disappointment. If you have lots of time then this place is for you, otherwise you might as well go into hibernation. The service is nonexistent. As far as food-we didn't see huge portions like other reviews have stated. The fries were bland and tasteless. The overall service left is wishing we went... More

The Black Bear Diner is an excellent choice for good old fashioned comfort food with generous portions. They have breakfasts, burgers, hand dipped shakes, etc. The best BLT that I have ever had was from this Black Bear diner. It was loaded with lots of thick crispy bacon with plenty of lettuce and tomato. Their blackberry cobbler is my wife's... More

On my way to Lavender Festival Sat morning, got off the ferry from Edmonds and made our way to look for a place for breakfast. The decor/look of restaurant was wonderful so we stopped to get our breakfast here. Was across from a hotel, which sometime is concerning in regards to wait times -however we made our way inside around... More

Heading out of Sequim after visiting the Lavender Festival. We were starving and this restaurant seemed like it would meet our needs. Parking lot was busy, we parked at the Holiday Inn next door. We didn't have high expectations, which is a good thing. I ordered the Reuben with fries and hubby ordered a bacon burger with potato salad. The... More

I don't usually review restaurants unless they stand out to me as strong or very weak. I went here hoping for some comfort food on a recent camping trip (where we blew off cooking that night and went out.) I ordered a chicken club. It was incredibly dry. The chicken was not moist at all and the only reason I... More
