Local Flavor

Nothing fancy, but this is where the locals hang. Just the overheard conversations and the constant good-humored banter between the waitresses and the regulars is worth the price of admission. I had the tossed salad with grilled salmon on top ($5 extra, instead of $15-$20 at a fancy joint). It came... read more

Wonderful staff and great simple food. Meet locals and tourist. Portions are plentiful and coffee never runs out. We are local and come to Sunshine on a regular basis. Recommended for couples and families.

Food is great, prices are average. Service is excellent. Seating a bit tight, but adequate. Cleanliness is way above average.

This is only my third time here in 10 years and I wondered if ownership had changed as previously I felt bombarded by Christian messages...not so this time. Walls are covered from FABULOUS art by Tim Quinn. Appeared to be the owner who was sweeping the sidewalk as we arrived. She was very welcoming and a warm smile to everyone... More

This tiny cafe might be referred to as a hole in the wall because of it's size, but don't let the size fool you. The flavors and portions are not tiny, just right. Home style food with pleasing taste and and price. I recommend the veggie sandwich. It is amazing. Friendly service and a blend of locals and tourists..stop by... More

This is the little local diner with a friendly staff and food that is cooked to order and delicious! Our family enjoys the Eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. OK. This isn't our every day or even every week meal. But, when you either need a big tasty breakfast, or are tending to too much ale at the beer... More

Stopped by for breakfast yesterday after visiting the Sequim Market. As always, the staff is very friendly and quick to recommend the special which was a special French toast with peaches. My wife had the special and I the corned beef hash with eggs. Absolutely awesome!

I confess that I love Chichen Fried Steak and have sampled more than I should. It is hard not to order it at Sunshine Cafe. Make sure you are hungry since it is served on 2 plates. The steak and to die for hash browns on 1 plate with the eggs and bread choice on another. Gotta ask for extra... More

We've only eaten their breakfast --- love the portions and fresh food. Great little gem in the middle of town. Couldn't be more friendly and food is delicious.

The menus very basic/limited. The service was horrible. Took 35 minutes to get hash browns & eggs. It's like the waiter forgot we we're there. Asked if we would like ketchup or Tabasco because our table had none, but she forgot and never came back. I had to go to the counter to ask for it & even then I was... More
