Wonderful gourmet find in this small seaside town.

Wonderful location very quaint and comfy, it is a gourmet restaurant specializing in local fresh food, seafood is the best, Nancy, is a pleasure to meet and greet you. Don't forget the dessert outstanding.

My wife and I made reservations for 630 at which time we promptly arrived. We were seated on the patio and we're given our menus and water. After about 10 minutes the hostess came in and moved us saying that she had forgotten that this table had been reserved for somebody else. I have never been asked to move at... More

This was certainly a surprise as we just walked in one evening after seeing a small sign posted at the corner. To start they are only open for dinner. Second they are very expensive. And third it was worth every penny spent! The specials that day were ribeye ($34) and salmon ($28). We settled in and decided to make a... More

We stopped at this restaurant on recommendation from someone and were pleasantly surprised. The place from the outside looks quaint. The dining room has an elegant/classy diner feel. We sat on the outdoor patio which is casual. They have a good selection of local micro brews and wine. The menu has a good variety of choices but not to many... More

We had heard a lot of good things about the Depot. I guess they have really good clam chowder so we should have stuck with that. The service was cranky. One in our group could not decide on a wine so when the waitress came back she said, "Could you order your food now so I don't have to come... More

The Depot is an unexpected treasure on the Long Beach Peninsula. The chef is amazing and the wait staff make you feel as if you are their only guest. Over the years I have tried many dishes at The Depot and I have never been disappointed. The wine selection is huge and the staff is very knowledgeable about pairings. For... More

This restaurant is VERY expensive. Our bill was $275 for a party of 5 and we only bought 1 cheap ($21) bottle of wine. My salmon was over-salted and served with a beefy mushroom sauce that belonged with steak; I scraped it off but could only eat about 2 oz of the salmon anyway. I had to cut off the... More

Honestly, I gave this place a 4 based on the ambiance and the staff, not the food. The food was average to good, but not great and certainly not up to the prices, which are high. That being said, the hostess was charming and the waitress was a delight. So all in all a good meal.

Many a trips to Long beach/Seaview to work. Had always missed this place before. So sad I had because they have the best food around. If you look a reviews for Long Beach, every place is way below what the Depot offers. Excellent fresh 5 star dishes and huge wine selection as well. They do take reservations. We walked in... More
