We have a birthday tradition which has lasted many years-taking our husbands to the Depot on their birthdays which are days apart. We don't go only on birthdays, but whenever possible. We've never been disappointed,in fact we've always left ecstatic. My friend and I are so pleased we can share in this experience. There is no other restaurant where you can... More

I wanted a sit down nicer restaurant and while searching through Trip Advisor, found this gem. The food is definitely inspired. Everything was beyond delicious. Met one of the chefs and had a nicer conversation before he went back to his duties. Everyone was nice and courteous. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a great meal!

What it is about little Seaview, WA that it can provide such a quality dining experience so far away from the foodie centers of the Pacific Northwest? Well, perhaps it is the proximity to the source of the food. Mushrooms from the nearby forest and fish just off the boats in Ilwaco. The Depot's ever-changing menu reflecting the bounties of... More

The remodel of an old tavern into an intimate bistro is well done! The service friendly and on the spot, and the menu very interesting, I had the oyster'cargo (oysters in place of snails) and it was delicious. I had the duck for the entrée, and was really pleased with the tenderness and taste. The only downside was hubby's rib... More

I was a bit disappointed with the atmosphere, although the food was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the decor was kind of tacky - more like railroad stuff thrown together instead of a well-thought out design plan.

The #1 rating of this restaurant among all Long Beach Peninsula restaurants remains intact. Service is exceptionally warm and friendly. The crab Mac and Cheese appetizer is one of the best appetizers, anywhere. Lots of locally sourced seafood on the menu along with quality meat entrees. You might be sceptical, but their desserts are even better than the entrees. Don't... More

When I made our reservation I indicated we were celebrating our anniversary and as a result we were seated at what they call the "Chef's Table." This table for 2 allows one to directly observe Chef Michael performing his magic in the kitchen. Also, it allows one to chat with Chef and ask questions about the meals he is preparing.... More

We sat at the chef's table which was a neat experience. The prices are high, but everything is made in house with attention to detail. Small plates are less expensive, but still filling. The salmon was one of the best ever!

We sat at the Chef's table where the owner/chef Mike chatted with us as he cooked for us and the rest of the very intimate restaurant. (Suzie from the Boreas B&B) got us reservations at that table. Was fun to hear the history about the depot building which was a real railroad depot for a line that ran on the... More

Just ate here again for the umpteenth time and were again impressed with the place. You cannot go wrong eating here. The duck is heaven, the boar is wonderful, the dessert to die for. They have never disappointed us, however you should be sure to make reservations and Wednesdays are hamburger nites which we tend to skip.
