Renton’s Finest Foods Since 1901! * Steakhouse voted #1 Western WA in 2010 * Affordable high quality menu *Historic Landmark in Renton The building in which the Melrose Grill resides was established in 1901 and has served as a tavern since the days of the horse and buggy. It also operated as a pool hall, soda shop and card room during Prohibition. Recently restored, Melrose Grill kept its historic roots with the original mirror-backed bar with its rich, dark woods. The walls showcase vintage photos that highlight the transitions this grand building has gone through. With wainscoting on the walls, low-slung lamps and high ceilings the space feels as open as the West was when it was built. The Food and Service at Melrose Grill will amaze and delight your senses. We work hard to provide our customers with the finest foods available, and prepare them in a way that will tame even most particular palate. Voted #1 Steakhouse in Western WA by King 5 & Evening Ma.

Favorite south end steak place!

You cannot go wrong with anything on The menu - I love the filet and always end in creme brûlée! Great WA wine list!

Why drive to Seattle or Bellevue (and fight for parking) when prime steak is right in downtown Renton! If you are looking for a intimate setting with friendly staff, look no further. The food never ever misses. I highly recommend the tenderloin stroganoff.

A 15 oz Ribeye is too big for most people. The perfectly done steak was served with an extra plate so that we could share the delight. Order an extra salad and you are set! Friendly and knowledgable staff. Great evening without being overstuffed.

This old steak house was a treat to find. Reservations required, be on time, it's small and crowded! We were three ordering a variety of items, from steak to prawns and all were properly cooked and seasoned. Excellent quality food, served promptly and well within the context of an old fashioned cafe/bar/diner setting. I'll be visiting the Melrose Grill again!

Trip Advisor thanks for tipping us off to this place! We were overnighting near SeaTac and and needed a good meal without heading all the way into Seattle. This was about an 8 mile trip from our hotel, but we found this historic early-1900s buiding and really enjoyed our visit. We were wait-listed (about 45 minutes on a Tuesday, if... More

Busy, so book reservations! Known for steaks, but I opted for their chicken breast because it sounded so incredible. I mean,a great steak is still just a steak; the room for extraordinary it's limited. I had an old fashioned and my wife a mint mojito. Mine was good, her mint and tart: excellent. The chicken was good, in an event... More

If you're looking for a great meal in Renton then this is the place. I've never had a bad meal here - the steaks are excellent and always cooked the way you want them. The staff are always friendly and attentive - there's no pushiness or pressure to order more expensive items the way there can be at many steakhouses.... More

Not only is it the best in Renton - they are one of the best around the Seattle area. Their steaks, seafood, and pork medallions are to die for...... this is a MUST! I promise you, you will not be disappointed. I cant forget their staff - they are so lovely and they will make your experience TOP NOTCH!!!
