Description: Renton’s Finest Foods Since 1901! * Steakhouse voted #1 Western WA in 2010 * Affordable high quality menu *Historic Landmark in Renton The building in which the Melrose Grill resides was established in 1901 and has served as a tavern since the days of the horse and buggy. It also operated as a pool hall, soda shop and card room during Prohibition. Recently restored, Melrose Grill kept its historic roots with the original mirror-backed bar with its rich, dark woods. The walls showcase vintage photos that highlight the transitions this grand building has gone through. With wainscoting on the walls, low-slung lamps and high ceilings the space feels as open as the West was when it was built. The Food and Service at Melrose Grill will amaze and delight your senses. We work hard to provide our customers with the finest foods available, and prepare them in a way that will tame even most particular palate. Voted #1 Steakhouse in Western WA by King 5 & Evening Ma.

Melrose Grill is the South Ends answer to El Goucho or John Howie. This tiny little hole in the wall is one of our family favorites. The steaks are perfectly prepared. The sides are hearty and delicious. They create seasonal delicacies that never disappoint. The service is top notch. The prices, while high, are not unreasonable for the quality that... More

Full of people, noisy, fun, good food, good service. I took my daughter to one of our favorite places for great food. We were not disappointed

The food was incredible. Seasonings were delightful and everything tasted very special! The steaks are absolute perfection and the Parmesan potatoes are crisp and tasty. The salads are crunchy and house dressing is a special treat. The drinks are strong and flavorful, and save room for their special home made desserts! Be there when they open for dinner, or you... This beautiful place is highlighted by their antique bar, history and amazing steaks! No reservations means come early or wait.....no appetizers either. I would not recommend kids as it is very dark and pretty expensive - but worth the splurge

Went in for dinner on a business meal and ended up liking it so much, we went back a week later for friends night out! Steaks are awesome! Small place so reservations are probably a must on weekends. Well worth the wait!

Went for business dinner with large party. Had no idea we needed a reservation (you do) and they moved heaven and earth to fit in our party. Waitress was impressive if a bit brusque at times, but attentive. Our table tried 7 steaks and all of them were amazing. Salad was great; hot rolls were a great touch. Owner was... More

This is one of the best steaks I've ever had. The restaurant is very small, so don't plan on just showing up without a reservation.

I received a gift certificate to this restaurant and took my family there for Father's Day. The place was busy and the food on the tables we passed looked wonderful. We all enjoyed the same meal, skewered filet mignon and prawn with fresh vegetables. The meat was absolutely fantastic! I mean melt in your mouth great! The waitress was personable... More

I was duped into patronizing this restaurant by what must clearly be fraudulent posts written by management. No, this is NOT a "premium stake house" as misled by TripAdvisor posts. It is a mediocre-at-best attempt to pass itself off as a legitimate restaurant at shockingly high prices for the poor food quality and even poorer service. Attempted FOUR TIMES OVER... More

Everything about this restaurant looks, smells and tastes like a premium steak house, which it is. Great wine choices and the steaks rival Metropolitan, Daniels broiler, and Queen City diner. It is a great little spot in out of the way Renton
