Description: Renton’s Finest Foods Since 1901! * Steakhouse voted #1 Western WA in 2010 * Affordable high quality menu *Historic Landmark in Renton The building in which the Melrose Grill resides was established in 1901 and has served as a tavern since the days of the horse and buggy. It also operated as a pool hall, soda shop and card room during Prohibition. Recently restored, Melrose Grill kept its historic roots with the original mirror-backed bar with its rich, dark woods. The walls showcase vintage photos that highlight the transitions this grand building has gone through. With wainscoting on the walls, low-slung lamps and high ceilings the space feels as open as the West was when it was built. The Food and Service at Melrose Grill will amaze and delight your senses. We work hard to provide our customers with the finest foods available, and prepare them in a way that will tame even most particular palate. Voted #1 Steakhouse in Western WA by King 5 & Evening Ma.

While traveling to Renton, we took a couple of opportunities to eat here. For years I have seen the lobster special & have watched customers eat with delight. I broke down & ordered the lobster special. It was a huge tail, cooked exactly as it should be. My partner had the stroganoff which he's enjoyed many times. Our service was... More

After a lukewarm greeting and a 45 minute wait on a Thursday evening, we enjoyed a delicious meal and excellent service. First, the weirdness: the "Do you have reservations?" greeting impressed me as a bit snobbish. Start with a smile and "Hello" - it goes a long way. Melrose is a neighborhood steakhouse in a not-so-great part of a working... More

I've always wanted to try Melrose and have heard great things, especially the beef steaks. Definitely make reservations. Wait staff, Emily was awesome. Nightly specials were many, but I vowed I was going to have a steak. The Prime sirloin was done perfectly. Soooo not disappointed with the entire meal; salad, roll, veggies, starch & entree. There was no room... More

Local historic eatery with melt in your mouth steaks. Location is in downtown Renton near the post office and train tracks. Service was good; food was awesome. Our party of 8 was seated promptly; each of us ordered something different. We all left fully satisfied and with leftovers for the next day. All entrees include salad, fresh vegetables, potato or... My first visit and I will return. Great steaks at a reasonable price. A fun atmosphere in the historic Renton downtown. Service was great. Don't show up without a reservation or you will likely be turned away.

For a restaurant that began as a hotel and tavern this has got to be one of the best steak houses in South King County. The food, especially the steaks, are the best to be found in the south end. If you get there with they have the special Melrose Stroganoff be sure to get it. The Melrose's prices are... More

The food was delicious, the atmosphere okay, but the prices are way too high for this type of restaurant. They do not do anything special for peoples birthdays, anniversaries etc. etc. at these prices they should.

Yes, they do serve steak and potatoes but with a taste ad quality above most. The New York cut with the parmesan crusted potatoes are absolutely the "bomb"! But then all the other steaks there are great as well! Wait staff is always attentive and friendly. Benches may be a little hard on the posterior but the meal was worth... More

Located in old skool downtown Renton. Parking can be a challenge, be prepared. Always super busy, get there early if you wanna be seated without waiting 45 minutes. Great service and food, especially the steaks. Recommend.
