The is the real deal if you are looking for Italian food. Spaghetti Pescatore- calamari, muscles and clams over pasta. The walls are covered with wine choices, literally.
I had difficulty finding this place, and so glad I did persevere. Wonderful smells greet you as you walk in, and the food does follows right along with it. A little on the spendy side but the pizza idoes not disappoint. We will be back!
Our family fortunately happened to stumble across Tropea as we looked for a new restaurant to try. We were so lucky. Don't be put off with the strip mall location, it makes the wonderful surprise you find when you walk through the door even better. The friendly family approach to service, the extensive Italian menu, the generous portions, and the... More
Good quality food and generally friendly and prompt service. However, the overall experience is detracted by the dim lighting, plastic ferns and clutter. You get this feeling that if the lights were up the dust bunnies would scatter. So despite the quality of the food I and my wife will go elsewhere
My wife and I had been here one other time when we were in Redmond for Cavalia and knew we would be back. This time around was just as good, if not better, than the first time. There was a wait as I'm sure there always is on the weekend. We saw several people walk up, see the # of... More
Writing this review is a risk. it is often difficult to get a table in this small restaurant, so selfishly it is counter to my personal interests to acknowledge Tropea. But I owe it to them: I've been coming to Tropea for years and have never been disappointed. Small and homey; consistently good; nice people; excellent ingredients; really 'special' specials;... More
Our family of four has loved this restaurant since we first discovered it after moving here in 2002 . Prior to finding it, we had tried many of the Italian restaurants in the Seattle area and we're thrilled when the one we considered to be the best was right in the area we had chosen to settle in. We had... More
Trusted my foodie friend when she pulled into a strip mall to close a great weekend. Little did I know the tiny, dimly lit restaurant would be, by my accounts, the best meal enjoyed in the Seattle area all weekend! From the complementary, oh so garlicky dipping oil, to the extensive menu and wine selections…..Pollo Stephano, one of many nightly... More
This gem is hidden in a little strip mall in Redmond. Go find it. You won't regret it. It isn't very big, so seating is a bit limited, but that allows them to give special attention to every guest. They have a menu, but the daily specials are listed on chalkboards on the two side walls. You don't need to... More
We went here for a birthday dinner last night. There was a wait, as they don't take reservations. After about 15 minutes, we were taken to our table. The food we had for the dinner was very good indeed, and they even brought me a tiramisu with a candle in by way of a birthday cake, at the end of... More
