I'm from Ohio but travel a lot. On several occasions have gone to Windsor, Canada to the what I believed was the best Italian. Friends in Redmond took me to Tropea and it was awesome. The food was fresh and hot, sauce was excellent, seasoned to perfection! The establishment itself was dark and could probably use a facelift, but the... More

This restaurant has been in the same location with the same décor for 18 years and it definitely shows. Really needs help from Robert Irvine with "Restaurant Impossible". The chef also way overcooked my vegetables in Linguine Vegitali. Since the vegetables were supposed to be the star of my dish, it was not acceptable. Will not return. Yuk!

What a gem! The service in this restaurant is impeccable and the food outstanding. I had the rigatoni in a pesto cream sauce, my husband had the lasagna and we were both very happy with what we ordered! Neither of us could finish the large portions - we were so pleased that this place uses take-out boxes not Styrofoam. The... More

I had been recommended to eat here with a colleague. The atmosphere is amazing, old world Italy. The service impeccable. The house wine was wretched, I had merlot. It tasted vinegary and wild like cheap. The bread and olive oil seasoned was amazing. I had one of the specials 20$. It came with meatballs that tasted freezer burned so I... More

This little Italian restaurant is hidden in a strip mall in Redmond. We went on peak hours on a Friday night and had to wait for about 25 minutes, but the smells coming from the kitchen made us think the wait was really going to be worth it. Our waiter was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious! The portions... More

If you are looking for a family atmosphere and great food you must visit this place. Lorenzo (the owner) has created a very relaxed atmosphere while delivering great options for dining . Let him recommend the wine and ask for the Tiramisu

Very nice small Italian restaurant. Adequate onsite parking. Excellent and friendly service. Limited menu but very high quality food and preparation. Recommend it highly.

We've loved this Italian restaurant in the past - never hesitated to recommend to friends, but lately we've noticed on Mondays and Tuesdays, when the owner is not working the quality falls short. Service is always excellent. I wouldn't recommend the pollo lemone (lemon chicken) - it was so thin that it was dried out and tough. The lemon sauce... More

I love Italian food, and many friends have recommended Tropea. The restaurant atmosphere is cramped and noisy, but that is part of the charm of the restaurant. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Food is disappointing. The quality of the food is only fair, and they add cream to dishes which normally don't call for it. Wine selection is good.
