The food is amazing, the wine selection is awesome and service is very friendly! I can keep going:-)
Great Food and Service is outstanding. Tiny, strip mall location . A bit pricey. Expect to wait 1/2 hour or so at peak times.
What is it about strip malls on the East Side of Lake Washington that breeds excellent Italian restaurants? From the now defunct Tosoni's and (still alive and plate-licking) Firenze in Bellevue, Pasta Nova in Woodinville, and Tropea in Redmond this is really becoming quite the pattern! We've been to Tropea a few times now and really must congratulate the ownership... More
My husband and I went to dinner here with another couple on a Monday night. After 90 minutes, and a bill of $200 for the 4 of us (for mediocre food and 4 glasses of wine) they asked us to give up our table so they could seat others. We thought this was extremely rude! We would have been out... More
I have eaten here many times - and consistently, everything I have ordered was very good - and the service has always been excellent. The location is odd (strip center)...and there are not many tables so there's usually a wait. That being said, if there IS a wait to get a table, it's well worth the wait. Order the lasagna;... More
It was fine, the food. It bothered me that our waiters pretended he was Italian though. I asked and the one man said he was Hispanic. Small strip mall. And difficult to get into so go early.
Been here few times. The Food selection is ample and the atmosphere and ambience is really good. try the classic dishes like Penne and Spaghetti if you are new to Italian food. :) The Dessert selection is also good and the portions are big as well. Be sure that, you are not in a hurry here .. You have to... More
My wife and I have been eating at Tropea since moving to Redmond 6 years ago. Each time we return we are very pleased with our meal. Their food and service is better than most, if not all, of the more expensive Italian restaurants where I have dined. Recently, I went with 9 other neighbors on our weekly 'boys night... More
This place is a very nice romantic italian place tucked away in a strip mall. You do feel like you are in Italy when you are in the place. I think though, that their wine and food prices are too high for italian food.
Cozy restaurant with wonderful food. Love their special salad to start and many of the pasta dishes. This place gets packed on the weekends, so go early!
