This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to in all of my travels. Very friendly staff and very clean, quiet establishment. Food is perfect. Our wedding party dined here with excellent reviews from everyone in attendance.

When I crave Chinese food it is their food that I crave. Their prices are extremely reasonable, the service is good, the decor is a bit dated yet clean and pleasant, very open and bright. The food is excellent. They make the very best hot and sour soup I have had anywhere.

I grew up in Pullman and am 30 now. I have yet to find a restaurant that even compares to The Emerald. I live in Texas now and often joke to my sister who lives in Pullman that I will pay her to send me some Emerald with some dry ice in exchange for the awesome fajita meat we have... More

We had Kung Pao Vegetables, Hot and Sour Soup and Green Bean Chicken. The veges were not overcooked and sauces were tasty. Serving sizes are huge --- we fed four people and still boxed some take-home. Atmosphere is utilitarian. I've been eating here for six years, and expect to return. Nothing fancy --- just good food.

I've had a lot of generic chinese food, but this was the worst. We ordered two combination plates with fried prawns and some sort of chicken dish. Both came drenched in some sauce that looked like gravy. The fried rice had what appeared chopped deli meat on top. Not good and especially disappointing for the price. Service wasn't fantastic either.... More

My recent trip to the Emerald was less than relaxing. We were greeted? by a sour and unsmiling woman who vacuumed all through the restaurant during our meal, even by our feet. Two other women were having a very loud and heated discussion for our first ten minutes there and the radio was playing rap music. Not my idea of... More

Great little restaurant. Always super fast service, but don't expect the service to speak very good English. Decent prices for a college budget. Great for takeout, too.

Just the neighbourhood Chinese restarant. Good food, as take outs. Loved the sweet and sour prawns and black pepper beef.

The Emerald's food is very flavorful and colorful. I had a combo platter with Chow Mein Noodles, Egg Foo Yung and Sweet and Sour Chicken. My husband loves the fact that the pan-fried noodles and other dishes aren't loaded with celery like the New Garden's dishes are. Service is great and the owner is genuine.
