Ferdinand's is a Pullman Classic. I've been coming here for 30 years! Great locale to get a scoop and walk the campus, reminiscing the past while embracing the future.

This is just one of those odd places that makes a particular town or area unique. Though the ice cream comes in lots of cool flavors, I don't know that it's that special. But knowing the milk comes from a land grant college creamery rather than an ordinary commercial source IS special and part of what makes this store unique.... More

This University shoppe not just a place to get yummy ice cream but it's the place to purchase their world famous cougar gold cheese, which comes in a large flat round can. They also have other flavored cheese and offer small amounts as well as cheese curds.

This is a MUST visit if you're heading to Washington State University ANYTIME soon. Not only is the ice cream delish, but our TRUE favorite item is the COUGAR GOLD CHEESE.

We were so happy to find this open on Monday on our way out of town. Stocked up on Cougar Gold, and a little after breakfast ice cream. Delicious!

Ferdinand's runs on an academic schedule and not a retail one, so they are never open in the evenings. The parking is area is metered and small; and the place can become very crowded on WSU game-days. When I go its typically post-lunch for the occasional indulgence.

You can't find any better ice cream on the Palouse than you will find here. So rich and creamy and you can thank the cows that donated the milk.

We were excited to try the ice cream on the college campus. Our daughter will be attending this college in the fall. The ice cream is outstanding. The building was clean. However the service was very poor. Granted the day was busy and our visit was within the last 30 minutes of the day. In addition to the ice cream,... More

I cannot say enough about this ice cream. If you like creamy, velvety, cold "heaven", drive to the WSU campus and follow the stream of students and visitors licking double dips as they walk around. (That's what we did.) Ferdinand's is a bit hard to find, so check a campus map or ask a student to point the way. You... More

Ferdinand's is a fun spot on campus to visit. Very educational to learn about cheese being made, and about the different activities on campus such as the meat lab and dairy cows. The cougar gold cheese is delicious, as are all of the ice cream flavors! My recommendation is to get a grabber - two soft oatmeal cookies and whatever... More
