GREAT ICE CREAM & CHEESE

This is a great place for home made, creamy, delicious ice cream. They also make their own cheeses with a nice variety to choose from. Samples of all are given on request.

Excellent ice cream made by the student dairy association. Lots of flavors of ice cream and numerous varieties of cheese. A super great place to visit on a hot day.

Ferdinands is famous for its ice cream and cheese - and deservedly so. The viewing room is fun and educational.

Homemade ice-cream made the right way! Homemade cheese made the right way! If it is open stop! Usually it is open M-F 9:30-4:30 except for holidays and it is open for WSU moms day and commencement on Saturday.

Everyone raves about Cougar Gold cheese! We always came here when I was a kid going to Football games, and it was one of my favorite parts of the trip! Definitely try the cheese curds - as a kid those were my absolute favorite! The dill cougar gold is really tasty too. Perfect addition to tailgating! They also ship, so... More

One of the benefits about being an agriculture university is the on campus dairy producing some of the finest milk and milk products anywhere. Ferdinand's is hugely popular especially on sunny days with its great selection of ice cream, milk shakes and cheeses (including the iconic Cougar Gold), with a line that often stretches out the door, so be prepared... I was travelling through the Palouse and always like to find regional or local premium ice creams. I've sampled other dairy production college ice creams and found them great. This was no exception. Typical pain driving around a campus. But worth it. High butterfat, real flavors, just like it ought to be. Big scoops of good stuff served by happy... More

This is must stop for delicious, creamy ice cream. Also the place to buy many different flavors of Cougar Gold cheese. The ice cream portions are huge, a single scoop barely fit on top of the come!

We were students here in the 1980s, and the ice cream quality has not diminished one iota since then. On this weekend, we teased our 17-year-old son that he was finally going to get his very first milkshake. Once delivered, he did not disagree. The only thing that we feel may be ever so slightly less enjoyable (compared to 30... More

Thank you for your review. To supply the demand for our fresh curd we now vacuum seal the fresh curd in a bag to keep it as fresh as possible. If you put your fresh curd in the microwave for a few seconds not longer than 5 seconds it will get back it's squeakiness. More
