Nice views of the small marina and park

The clam chowder was very good as was the fish and chips. My wife had a citrus salad and the DIL had an Oriental Chicken Salad. Both thought they were pretty good, but both had questions about the ingredients! We each had a couple of local draft beers that were tasty. The restaurant has both a deck... read more

Words alone simply cannot capture my sincere appreciation for this restaurant. Stopped just to get a "mug" of clam chowder and was super impressed with the employees and the soup was absolutely wonderful. When in Poulsbo, WA do yourself a favor and stop at this place. Lots of parking in front of the restaurant which is one block off of... More

We are from a small east coast tourist town so we've been to our fair of seafood restaurants, and my first job was at a local seafood joint/fish house. That being said this didn't really do anything for me. Clam chowder was good, also fish and chips, but just good. Also a bit pricey for the place/fare.

We seriously stumbled across JJ's whilst looking for a coffee with a view. When we saw people's plates laden with fish and chips, how could we not? I've not eaten either cod or halibut before, but our charming waitress explained the differences, the cod oilier, the halibut more densely textured and drier. I had a fantastic iced tea, thirst quenching... More

I can't tell you about the food because we never got to order. It seems the staff is more interested in talking to their friends than helping new customers. I understand being busy but walking past us to greet your boyfriend is just poor business. For what the prices are listed at they should be more helpful. I won't go... More

We had great fun visiting Poulsbo on a rainy cold day recently! It was a perfect day to have the clam chowder to warm the old bones. It was deliciously creamy and filled with bacon, potatoes, and of course clams:) My sister had the citrus salad with salmon. She said the salmon was great, the salad not so much. The... More

We came here just for the voted "best" clam chowder in the local area. It was okay but not the best we've ever had. Very creamy and lots of herbs. Very few clams and no clam flavor. We were disappointed. We think it should be called creamy herb soup instead. We will try again because the menu had a lot... More

Had out of town guests who like seafood. Went for an early dinner. Had fish and chips which were very good, as usual. One person had an oyster dinner. He said it was excellent.

This is our go to restaurant for seafood on the Kitsap Penninsula. The fish is cooked to order and the fries superb. The citrus salad is outstanding and service pleasant and efficient. I find the portions more than adequate, in fact we often split plates and have plenty. The ambiance is great during the day, busy and bustling and while... More

My husband ordered the salmon (baked) and I ordered the halibut ( also baked). They were somewhat simple but fresh tasting and delicious. It came with rice pilaf ( which was great as well) and amazing fresh grilled veggies(zucchini, yellow squash and onions). As an appetizer we ordered the crab cakes , which were awesome! They tasted home made, which... More
