We had a great lunch experience at the Fish House this July. The weather was perfect and although the outdoor seating is on the parking lot, it is up a level. I had the steamer clams and a citrus salad with grilled salmon on top. My friend had the citrus salad with grilled halibut on top. The steamer portion was... More

Had the Fish Tacos and they were the worst I ever have had. Tasted like a can of fruit cocktail with cod on a plain flour tortilla. Wife had the clam linguine which was ok. The building looks like a converted garage, with a view of the bay.

We had "won" a certificate to JJ's as part of a Poulsbo auction basket at a charity. The certificate stated it was "Dinner for Two not including alcohol". We arrived during lunch and asked if we could use it for lunch rather than for dinner and inquired what it would include. "Yes" and it was to include two entrees. Even... More

We hadn't been to JJ's in several years, and today realized we have been remiss not to come here more frequently. We sat on the outdoor patio, under the shade of well placed umbrellas, and enjoyed the views of Liberty Bay and the Poulsbo Marina (too bad the parking lot has to be there!). There is an extensive menu with... More

J J's Clam chowder is the best clam chowder I've eaten at a restaurant. I have to ward people that their clam chowder isn't the same run of the meal chowder people are used to eating. This chowder is unlike any clam chowder I have eaten before but it is delicious. They also specialize in fish and chips so I... More

When I visit relatives in Poulsbo, we always look forward to having a take-out lunch or dinner of fish-an-chips (usually halibut) and the house salad with chicken. Always very satisfying.

It's been a very long time since I enjoyed onion rings and clams with linguine so much. Not all menu items are as good but I recommend those two highly.

A casual restaurant close to the water, but next to a parking lot. Still, the outdoor deck is very nice when the weather permits. Top picks are the steamer clams, fish and chips, and clam chowder. I'm not a fan of the crab cakes. I personally like the cod fish and chips better. The wine list is not great, but... More

Stopped in to get a fish'n'chips fix. Fish moist and tasty, batter just the right amount, not overly greasy. Chips average. It was a beautiful day so sat outside. Pleasant wait staff. But be warned, if you sit outside, do not sit too close to the Italian place next door, as they pipe very annoying crooner music at you. Next... More

Dining choices were limited in Silverdale so we drove north to Poulsbo to JJ's. Good decision. Not the fanciest restaurant or all that high class, but the food and service were just the ticket. Tried a bowl of clam chowder and it was the best I have ever tasted - not gummy or overly thick - just creamy and full... More
