A tradition.

When visiting Poulsbo, a stop at Sluys is a must. On this stop I selected an angel cream donut. It was like a bismark with a cream filling; it was coated with powdered sugar. It cost $1.14. The place smells divine. My friend's mother bought a bigger assortment of goodies. I personally would like... read more

I have been visiting this bakery since 1988 and the quality has gone downhill but still quaint enough to bring visitors to (could be the town itself but no sense splitting hairs). The offerings are varied but heavy. Most are over baked and dry, overly processed tasting, not flaky delicious pastries one would expect. Just okay these days, not the... More

Everything is a taste treat, but some are irresistible. I've been going there for over 30 years. It's difficult to pass by and not buy something

When you see the lines forming and out the door you might think it will be difficult to get waited on but the staff is well prepared and ready for all the business. They have a commitment to fresh and natural baking practices and it is impossible to pick wrong. The baked goods are unique enough that guilt will not... More

Wonderfully delicious bakery products at Sluys. i only wish they'd post their prices directly in the bakery cases so we could readily see the prices of items.

Sluys Poulsbo Bakery is an institution in Poulsbo, wildly popular with local and tourists alike. There can be big lines inside, even out the door on popular holiday weekends. In coffee shops all over the area we see people bring their bags and boxes of just purchased Sluys goodies in with them to go along with good coffee they are about... More

If you've never experienced a Viking donut or a maple bar from Sluy's, you're really missing out. Every time we visit Poulsbo, this is a mandatory stop. Always fresh, always tasty, always a special "I refuse to have guilt over this" treat. Just remember, it's a bakery, not a restaurant. Grab your goodies, stop for a cup of joe and... More

Real nice place, with friendly atmosphere. The Viking cup donut was deliciously soft with probably the best cream cheese icing I have ever had!

Sluys is the "VooDoo Doughnuts" of Portland Oregon!!!.....It's the "TopPot Doughnuts" of Seattle!! We are so blessed to have this old fashion bakery in town.

This is not a restaurant but a bakery with the best Scandinavian delights to savor. Feast your eyes and taste buds on something while in town.
