Excellent steamed clams. My husband didn't care for the oyster poor boy sandwich he ordered but the rest of us loved the food. We went on a Saturday night and they had a cello and a spanish guitar player performing. My 9 year old son loved the music. We will make it a regular stop when we visit Port Townsend.

We stopped in for lunch....I usually check trip advisor out on a place first....but didn't this time....We both had the crab sandwich... Good size sandwich with a ceaser salad is 19 bucks at lunch price... The sauce they used for the top was a poor choice.....The corn chowder was good...calamari was OK.....service good

We happened upon this restaurant when we were attending a small music show in the area. We were unable to get into the show and decided to find some thing to eat. It was a busy weekend in Port Townsend. Places were packed and with long waits. When we came to the Public House Grill we were greeted by the... More

They have excellent fresh cut Halibut Fish and Chips we get them every time we visit Port Townsend. Paper lined tables so you can draw on them is fun.

Had great fish (hand cut halibut) in the Public House on Water Street in Port Townsend. They let you choose 1, 2 or 3 pieces. 1 piece each was plenty for my wife and I. The slaw that they served was also very good. Not sweet like many cole slaws - more on the savory side. With on piece of... More

We went there for lunch and while the decor was interesting, the place didn't have the cleanest feel to it. Prices were a little high in our opinions for the food. We ended up getting the steamed shellfish appetizer and two cups of chowder with clam. The chowder was a gooey, starchy I don't know what with the crab just... More

I was here 2 years ago in the fall and remember the great soup for lunch. Back this weekend, we tried it for dinner. I had the porterhouse cut pork chop with a shallot, whole grain mustard cream sauce with potatoes and broccoli for $20. The mashed potatoes rolled in panko and deep fried were slightly bland but the chop... More

The high ceilings and exposed A-frame make for a very pleasant ambiance. Local art is displayed on the walls and maritime paraphernalia hanging from the rafters. The trout pasta dish was good, but the salmon was better. Service by the waitstaff was excellent.
