This is our go to place in Port Townsend for guests, and often for ourselves too. Prefer to eat in the more cozy wine bar side, but the restaurant itself is fine. The regular menu has some very good food, such as moules frites, paella and lamb shanks. Sometimes the specials are excellent, especially the fish. Great selection of wines,... More

Good location, charming decor, good food, excellent wine and very good service. Not a lot more I can say about this except is lives up to its good reputation. We were with friends, had an excellent evening, too much wine, which came from a substantial and good wine list. A little on the pricey side but that was the wine.... More

We just walked in no reservation and were promptly seated and attended to. The decor is warm and inviting. Great selection of wines and reasonably priced. Our server was knowledgeable about her menu and selections. We had pancetta wrapped prawns that were absolutely heavenly, cooked perfectly. I find most places overcook shrimp not here. They had been marinated and grilled.... More

Most unexpectedly fantastic dinner. It was the welcome to Port Townsend we hoped for....and received.

The half roasted chicken on a bed of mashed potatoes with a vegetable on the side was delish and the service excellent. So easy to find at the base of the stairs in downtown Port Townsend, Washington.

We had lunch here earlier this week -- this place is a real find! Locally-sourced and highest-quality ingredients, carefully prepared, and best of all: delicious. We especially enjoyed the cheese plate, oyster stew, and bread salad -- all wonderful. In the midst of a touristy town, this restaurant is the real deal!

As we sat at our table among the wine bottles, I had to remark how pretty this restaurant is in the evening. Great care has been taken to create a relaxing dining experience; rich colors, little lights, interesting details. The staff are busy and happy. It really is a swell environment. Service was very good and our meals well prepared.... More

Tried this restaurant based on locals review. It has a nice décor and our server was very good. The best part though was the food. Everything from starters to entrées to dessert (try the lemon mousse!!) was excellent. Could find no faults with anything.

Such a lovely romantic room, and the service was thoughtful and gracious. But the menu is very limited and the food was just not good. Husband had local fresh salmon -- way overcooked. I had duck breast with huckleberry sauce -- not at all good. Duck was dry and very overcooked, and the skin was flabby and still fatty. Sauce... More

The Happy Hour "bites" menu is a tasty adventure featuring unique local ingredients and the special cocktails are yummy, especially when discounted. We often share three or four small plates with our drinks, and call it "early supper."
