our main courses Cassoulet and Cioppino seafood dinner were excellent. The way they prepared the cassoulet is very original French taste. The Cioppino seafood has many different seafood and clams in it.

The food and dishes were appetizing and delicious but the service was quite slow. The location is near the center if town and easily accessible.

The food is terrific. The ambiance is very nice as well. We were there (twice) on a lovely summer day/evening. The pasta is made daily and interesting, the soups are delicious, the salads are fresh and light, the seafood was perfectly prepared. Nice bar offerings. I think this is the best restaurant of its type in Port Townsend. There is... More

They have not only the most extraordinary menu - but the best service ever. I was recently there with friends and our decisions included appetizers that were so good we could've dined on these alone. Everything about this restaurant was excellent - including the hanging flower baskets that line the windows outside. You will not be disappointed - a definite... More

This past week my wife and I and another couple had the pleasure of dining at Alchemy. The staff was very pleasant, service was prompt but not overbearing, and the food was outstanding. I had the surf and turf special which was a nicely sized portion of both a filet and prawns. Very nice preparation and both were cooked to... More

We went crazy one nice afternoon. The mussel appetizer was extraordinary. We also split the tapas plate and a pork carnitas burrito special. It was all wonderful. The Penn Cove mussels with a nice broth were as good as we'd had in San Francisco or on Whidbey island. Fabulous with a nice pinot grigio.

The whole experience of Port Townsend lived up to some of the comments from the local Seattleans that we had spoken with and our stop here mid day was certainly a highlight. We had a delightful waitress who spent time talking about some of the local history, other worthy places to visit and then helped us find the perfect bottle... More

The cioppino was delicious. Coffee very good. Service excellent. I've eaten here for lunch before. Try their French onion soup, it's excellent. Their mussels are divine.

Four of us starting out on a tour of the Oregon Coast stayed in Port Townsend overnight. Close to the Palace Hotel where we were staying we found the Alchemy Bistro. The menu was extensive and offered a good range of dishes. We all ordered something different and were all very pleased with the quality and taste of the dishes... More
