Best in Port Townsend

Port Townsend is not a mecca for foodies, but Alchemy strives to be amongst the best and succeeds. Located in the waterfront district next to the Theater, its hands down the finest restaurant in the Town. Their menu offers salmon, cioppino, lamb and risotto amongst the selections. We took our hotel's suggestion and dined at Alchemy with friends for a very special occasion. We spent (wasted) a lot of money and the whole experience is now a sour memory. We were seated immediately but waited two hours to be served. We ordered a bottle of pricey but mediocre chianti which we sipped on for at least 90... More

We had a lovely dinner. Prices were high but service was excellent. Suggest reservations. Located downtown near the steps between uptown and downtown. Close to shops and the waterfront but no view.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel we were staying at and within walking distance. They offered a varied menu and a large wine selection. Very much enjoyed the scallops appetizer and the duck breast main course.

We stopped in for lunch while on vacation. Despite the restaurant being almost empty and the bar completely empty, everything was very slow. However, we shared appetizers - Angels on Horseback and the Cheese platter - they were both good and were plenty to serve as a light lunch for my sister and I. Favorite however were the Fizzy Lizzy... More

Had a business lunch (just 2 of us) and there was only one other party seated in the restaurant. Prices are insanely high!! They seated us right next to the kitchen partition, and it took almost 20 minutes for our waitress to show her face. It took even longer to get my sad - looking salad. Dreadful.

Nestled in a brick heritage building not far from the pretty little fountain, this wine bar consists of three major spaces - a dark, but welcoming wood accented bar, a narrow restaurant dining room and a small outdoor patio.  We stopped by here for an afternoon restorative and sat in the bar. The drink menu is quite extensive, with wines... More

Cosy, beautiful ambience with a French flavor. Reasonable prices for what you receive. I had grilled prawns wrapped in prosciutto . Delicious! Lamb and beef kebabs plate was excellent. Vegan, gluten free items also available. Very pleasant memory of our visit to Port Townsend. The price for what you receive is a bargain!

To start, we were in Port Townsend on a Tuesday evening for our wedding anniversary. We looked into different restaurants and the menu at Alchemy seemed like it was what we were looking for. We had appetizers and snacks at another location before arriving at Alchemy at 7:30. The long and short of it - the food is pretty good... More

Had an excellent dinner here. My husband's duck and my risotto were so good. They also feature Washington and Oregon wines. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine list.
