We enjoyed the Mexican food we had El Sarape. It was fresh, good and in large enough quanities to satisfy our hunger after a day of driving. We all had enchiladas-beef, seafood, spinach-cheese and chicken and we really liked them all. I would recommend stopping off at El Sarape if you are visiting Port Townsend, WA.

We parked in Port Townsend and my wife like the smell emanating from this restaurant. After walking around we found ourselves back here for lunch. Service was excellent, the chips and salsa were above average and we sat at a window table and people watched. My wife had a taco salad and margarita. I enjoyed the seafood burrito which had... More

Naturally on a beautiful summer's day the patio/balcony seafood places are going to be full, so we "settled" for something fast and filling. Shockingly, this was amazingly good Mexican food and the Sangria was sweet, refreshing and strong! Glad we stumbled upon this little gem.

The place has been there forever, on Water Street, so easy to get to. The portions are big, the service is always friendly. We have never had a crowded, slow service ever, and the waiter is always attentive and quick. We like to sit by the stained glass, if that is available. Lot's of warm chips and salsa...what's not to... More

Every time I am in the area with my mom we always stop here for lunch. Actually, we catch a ferry to eat here from Coupeville. It's right on the main street in downtown. The service is quick and your plate is full. They start you with warm chips and a homemade salsa. I try not to finish my plate... More

Our midweek birthday dinner for two was just a bad memory. The kid who waited on us had a calculator and paperwork spread out on two of the four-tops in the front of the dining area, so we were seated next to the wall between the faded construction paper Mexican flag and and a giant gum ball machine. The restrooms... More

El Serape is a Mexican Restaurant with menu offerings that include dishes from other areas of Latin America, thus giving the consumer a wide variety of choices from which to select. The service and the food are excellent as are the beverages (Cadillac margarita was outstanding). Inside, the large, colorful murals are well done and entertaining and it is hard... More

Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, good food and drinks. Can always depend on a good time. Great margaritas, especially the Cadillac.

Stopped in for a quick dinner and stayed longer due to how good the food and great the service. Drinks were good and the food was great. Hot and tasty and an easy walk from our hotel. prices were fair.
