Plenty of Bang for Your Buck!

Stopped in for lunch while in Port Townsend last month and we were greeted and seated promptly. Food and my margarita arrived promptly. Food was very hot and plentiful when it arrived! The service was prompt and super friendly. The food was not so good. Not by my standards. I remembered this place from years ago and remembered I liked it very much. Servings were certainly ample. The folks I ordered with had more traditional fare like meat and bean burritoes. But I ordered fish tacos. I have recently developed a liking... More

We have eaten at El Sarape several times and always find the food to be delicious. They have a large menu and everything we try is good. Last night we took friends of ours to the restaurant and everyone enjoyed their meal a great deal. I had carne asada and my wife had taquitos.

We are from Colorado where the foods of Mexico reign supreme. The food here was more than adequate with great presentation and great service. If your hankerin' for a burrito fix, this is the place to go.

We've never had such deplorable food before. The coffee smelled and tasted like it was 4 hours old, but we were assured it was freshly made. I don't know where they put the flavor, but it wasn't in their food. We were starved after a LONG day, but we couldn't eat more than a couple of bites. Paid our $40... More

Our friends from Seattle took us here as they said it was the best in the state...we'd eaten at another in Edmonds, and this far surpassed it. The carne asada and shrimp plate was fabulous. The Margaritas were also good, and the decor is lively with paintings. The wait staff is very friendly and they were quite busy for lunch.

My family loves Mexican food, so this looked like a good option. Chips and salsa were tasty, and my husband liked his burrito, but everything was drenched in sauce and pretty mushy and flavorless. The staff were attentive and the prices were comparable to other restaurants, but I would have preferred fresher choices where the flavors could be tasted.

This is a great little Mexican food restaurant. I was there for a late lunch mid-week and the service was excellent. The food was great and served fairly quickly. They have a nice selection of beers, but it is also family friendly. It is in the heart of downtown near the action and fun of the town.

The service was okay. The food was nice: my husband had fajitas, I ate a bean burrito (which was gigantic but very yummy). The decoration is cool and really funny.

The food was good, and the staff was very friendly. Port Townsend isn't where I would think of for Mexican food, but it sounded good, and the reviews were good.
