My husband and I had dinner here after a busy day of travel to Port Townsend. It was a Wednesday night in October and the restaurant was not crowded. Comfortable seating with good ambiance, excellent service, conveniently located, great food, and not too pricey. We ate at several restaurants in the downtown area over the next few days and this... I had lunch here and was impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The food was excellent with good vegetarian options and the prices were reasonable. Cute decor. This is a good choice for a restaurant in Port Townsend where the competition is fierce!

My brother and I visited Port Townsend for the Wooden Boat Festival in early September. He had visited PT before and suggested the Silverwater as we walked by, a serendipitous decision. We did not have a reservation but were accommodated very quickly on both nights. Great crab cakes (best he has had my brother says and he has experience). We... More

This place is a Port Townsend institution, but its popular is based on its history not its current performance. There are better and more interesting restaurants just steps away from this one.

I am hoping the chef was off that day (a Tuesday evening). The chicken and dumpling soup was a gluey mass of starch, with a stray piece of chicken or two and a handful of what started life as frozen peas and carrots. Don't even start me on the 'dumplings'. The Spaghetti Alfredo was an equal mush of overcooked pasta... More

We received a tip earlier in the day. A few were mentioned but Silver Water stood out. My Salmon was caught local and fresh! Typically I need some type of garnish for fish but this Salmon had great taste and juicy flavor. Service was great and wonderful coffee to boot. We will be back!

This is our favorite place to eat when in Port Townsand. They offer such a delicious variety of food. It is always hard to make decisions.

Silverwater is a Port Townsend stalwart. The food is good, somewhat pricey, and service can be spotty. The Mezaluna Lounge on the second floor is pleasant. It's a convenient stop after a movie at the Rose Theater next door.

Went there based on a friends suggestion. Started off bad and got worse. It took about 15 minutes before our server appeared to take our drink order. We ordered a variety of dishes and all were served cold...... even the fish and chips! I think that our bad experience was mostly due to the terrible server.

We had a recommendation from a friend for the Silverwater Cafe and we were not disappointed. My husband had a bowl of clam chowder which was tasty and served with oyster crackers and small slices of bread with herb butter. I had 1/2 a crab/shrimp melt sandwich and a cup of pea soup with nicely flavored herbal ice tea. All... More
