Good Place

My wife and I ate two dinners at this restaurant in August 2015. The menu is very diverse and the bar serves good wine. The wait staff was extremely pleasant. The restaurant was quite close to the Palace Hotel whose staff recommended it. Good choice.

I had the Shrimp and Scallops fettucine. I'm normally NOT a pasta person but this was FANTASTIC.There were 5 or 6 huge shrimp and 8-10 scallops. Absolutely delightful. They must have improved their service since I read other reviews, because our service was quite satisfactory. The price was only $16.00 and it was more than worth it! I highly recommend... More

We had a great dinner with our kids. They accommodated out party of seven with three kids. Had coloring paper and crayons ready. Food and service was great, I had the fish and chips made from lingcod and want disappointed. They were perfectly cooked, not greasy. Tuna and risotto were also good.

I started my week in Port Townsend with Dungeness Crab Louie at the Silverwater, and it was excellent. I prefer beer with crab, but I wasn't familiar with the locals on tap. My server kindly brought me a small sample of the most likely choice so I could make an informed decision. The menu has many attractive selections, so I'll... More

We had a large family dinner here recently and were very pleased with the food and the service. We had the local salmon which was cooked to perfection.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and it didn't disappoint. The server was very helpful, friendly and took great care to make our meal special. The sirloin tip risotto was amazing - and enough for two of me! My husband's steak was very good. A great place to eat!

We ordered two mains: the halibut special (hazelnut crusted with pesto, roasted fingerling potatoes, broccolini) and the ahi tuna, which came with rice and a salad. The fish was cooked perfectly and was very good. The sides were ok, a bit bland and boring. The service was good and the atmosphere cozy. Overall a decent place for dinner.

The menu offers a wide variety of seafood and other dishes, the location is convenient to downtown, and the service has always been good there.

Terribly unfriendly greeting when we arrived for lunch. It was like "what are you doing here?" Incredible brush off and lack of interest in our wanting to have lunch here. Dismissively advised they were waiting for a party of 6 and couldn't possibly find a spot for us. Went around the corner for a great lunch and super friendly service... More

I suspect that the good reviews here are due to a combination of lack of options in Port Townsend and a "countrified" sensibility which gives points for trying. Beware. If you sort through the reviews by rating, you'll notice that the worst reviews are from people from large cities where good restaurants are plentiful, and the best reviews are mostly... More
