Very mediocre food

In for lunch on Feb. 20. We had the Caesar with grilled chicken--swimming in (probably a bottled) Caesar, the taste was so overpowering; the artichoke and crab open-faced sandwich--crumbs of crab and artichoke blanketed in a poor quality cheddar; and fish and chips--deep fried to a VERY dark... read more

We always enjoy The Belmont. The service is wonderful; the atmosphere lovely; and we particularly enjoy the crab artichoke sandwich. We've had Christmas Eve lunch at The Belmont for the last few years and it's become a tradition. The water is so enjoyable. We do wish the restrooms weren't down so many steps but it is an OLD building so... More

We had the cheese and crab dip appetizer that was absolutely sinful. I had the fish and chips and my sister had the seafood pasta. Both were perfectly cooked and all the while you are sitting in an elegant an quiet dining room while watching the waves literally crash by through a large bay window. I can't wait to go... More

We went with our family including our young adult children. The host wouldn't let us sit in the bar, he insisted that we sit in the dining room because one table in the bar was reserved. First, no one went to the bar after we arrived, even if they had, there were plenty of other places for us in the... More

Had thanksgiving dinner there today. Beautiful setting. Great service. Great mashed potatoes gravy and stuffing...worst turkey ever...very dry and hard...HAD to cut with a knife. Other dishes coming out looked great.

Went as a party of six on Sunday. Easily seated in the restaurant with a view over the bay. Fish and chips was a popular choice with the group and all agreed that it was good.

After a disastrous experience at the restaurant where we had a reservation, we walked through Port Townsend searching for somewhere else to eat. One restaurant had no tables and another was far too warm to comfortably sit in. Then our stroll took us to the door of the Belmont. I am happy to say the we had good service and... More

I don't have vast experience with this restaurant, but i would drive 400 miles for the CRAB & ARTICHOKE SANDWICH Dungeness crab, artichokes, onions and three cheeses baked open faced on Italian Panini bread.. Have had it twice, and it is amazing.. Decor is nice..yes the downstairs 'meeting' room may be a bit old looking, but who cares? This place... More

Ok, I've only been there for lunch and with a group that uses the downstairs room. Constant noise from chairs being moved above. And so in need of renovation. Bathroom has area where there's no paint on wall. Last time I was there, I had the BOWL of lobster bisque. Very small for $10. And very reminiscent of one I've... More
