We ate at the Belmont, outside on the deck overlooking the water. The waiter had a great personality and helped to make the dining experience fun. I had trout rolls stuffed with crab. It was fabulous--done perfectly and the additional items in the stuffing were well balanced. My husband had a cobb salad and was disappointed. It lacked some of... More

Great view, great meal, great service. Loved the lobster bisque; my steak was well prepared and nicely presented. As to the person who complained about the portions -- personally, I would rather have a six ounce steak (as it's properly identified on the menu) nicely prepared than a big ol' hunk of meat slapped on my plate to impress me,... The wife and I were traveling through Port Townsend from Lake Oswego, Oregon. We went to the Belmont for drinks and dinner. We wanted to start with drinks at the bar, but they made us sit at a table in the dining room. I think the upstairs bar was closed, but since that is where restaurants make their real money,... More

This has always been a "must stop here" place for lunch, appetizers or dinner. The view is beautiful, the ambience lovely, water is brought out immediately and the food...well, here's the rub. The oyster appetizer was delicious. The cod fish n chips: cod delicious, fries were so so. The Baked Dover Sole...not what was advertised on the menu posted outside... More

Dine on the patio if it's warm - it's right smack on the water. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, the artichoke dip one of the best, the salmon like it just splashed out of the water.

We ate on the deck overlooking the water and had a wonderful lunch. I had the Cioppino and my husband had the pasta with salmon. The portions were very large - and both were wonderful. The service was excellent and the view outstanding. I tried the banana boat for dessert and can only tell you that you must try it!!!... More

This is an upscale restaurant located in an old waterfront hotel. The views are wonderful. The service was good. The food and wine superior.

I often get half orders as most restaurant portions are too large. I ordered the sole that came with asparagus. Two small rolls of fish and three small spears of asparagus came on a large plate. If you are serving a small plate. Say so. When I questioned the small serving. Nothing was done. Too bad I will never go... More

Food was really good and the wait staff was great. The prices were even amazing, I couldn't believe it. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Also, you must try the banana boat.

This is one of Port Townsend's go-to restaurants for special occasions as well as everyday lunches and dinner. The atmosphere is casual elegance with old brick walls, wooden floors and tablecloth-covered tables overlooking Port Townsend Bay. The restaurant has a wide selection of dishes on its menu, and the prices are reasonable. The bar is on the mezzanine level under... More
