Nice family run café, offers indoor or outdoor seating, and menu appears all fresh and homemade. Lots of pastries to choose from and they offer full breakfasts and lunches. Good food, reasonably priced, but very slow service; their children are the waitresses and not highly motivated. We always try to patronize the local merchants so breakfasted here twice - and... The Courtyard Café? Ah, yes. If you're the type who likes chaos, goes to a restaurant so that you can write a review, and have a hyped up sense of who you are, you might not like the Courtyard Café. For me, the atmosphere was like going to grandma's house at Thanksgiving...a place where I can accompany friends and be... More

I have been by with friends 3 times now. Every time the meal is good the Breakfast quiche is magnificent, the coffee is good, the atmosphere is Port Townsend all the way. I love it, you will too.

We have eaten here several times and it never disappoints. Their breads are delicious for their sandwiches as are the sandwiches themselves. Their salads were marvelous and unfortunately so are all their desserts. They are so hard to resist I don't like going up to the cash register and have to confront my sugar cravings. The cinnamon rolls and chocolate... More

I used to come up to Port Townsend quite a bit for business and this was a must stop for breakfast. I would always order Cherry Crepes and a side of bacon! It is a family owned business and they work hard to serve the customers and always with a smile on their faces! All the bakery goodies are home... More

Our breakfast at The Couryard Cafe was like being home without having to cook or do the dishes! The dining room is bright and cheerful with family pictures and sayings on the walls. Coffee is self-serve and we bussed our own table (don't know if that was expected or not but saw others do it). Tom had the Natalie Sandwich... More

We've visited the Courtyard Cafe on 3 occasions for lunch and the food is consistently good and generously portioned. The fact that almost the entire family works the restaurant adds to the casual charm. If you like Reubens, don't miss their 3-napkin variety. Their Cristo is also wonderful. Besides great sandwiches, they have satisfying salads. If you like sweets, there... More

I agree with azzure; the service running "hot and cold". I had to look up the word to see, and it is all those things; 1. (especially of a comment or style of speaking) sharp and forthright. "his acerbic wit" synonyms: sharp, sarcastic, sardonic, mordant, trenchant, cutting, razor-edged, biting, piercing, stinging, searing, scathing, caustic, bitter, acrimonious, astringent, abrasive, harsh, wounding,... This is a well located kitchen atmosphere restaurant with outdoor eating area off the main street. The food o excellent - the service friendly - the prices fair. Especially recommended for breakfast and sandwiches all day!
