great place to eat

The service was great. The food was pretty good. We didn't wait long for our food. The soda and milkshakes were really an art form.

This is the best deco of a fifties restaurant and great service by a new waiter on Saturday night0--burgers and malts were great!

The food is fair and or what you might expect of American fair at a Mexican restaurant, not that most Fountains of the American variety are that much better if at all. Basically fat tourists go there with their pastel colored polyester pants to avoid making worthwhile choices as to what to eat.

To sum things up quickly, we weren't impressed by the food or service. All of the food we had was either frozen or pre-packaged, and the burgers were over cooked. We dropped in about 20 minutes before they closed. The waitress was indifferent to us, but did seat us quickly. The ice teas came in a reasonably quick amount of... More

If you've seen one fake fifties diner, you've seen 'em all. Looks like a Johnny Rockets or the like and the food is the same generic stuff. Probably more fun for old people who might remember these places or children who might also be amused. I find it to be a tired theme and the prices a little high for... More

Small local soda shop. We were not greeted upon entering. We sat for several minutes and began to feel we were not welcomed. We just had a very uncomfortable feeling we were intruding. Finally our order was taken. Food was passable but nothing special. We would not return when visiting again.

We caught the cafe just before they closed and bought 2 icecreams. The interior of the cafe is pure 1950s, the juke box, records and furnishings hark back to an era of life long since passed. The icecream was very, very good, certainly worth a visit if only to feast on the ices and visual nostalgia.

This 50's diner is on Water Street, on the side overlooking the water. You can sit inside or out on the patio right by the water. They have tried hard to make it authentically 50's. The three soda fountains they use are actually restored soda fountains from the 40's & 50's. They have an old juke box & more restored... More

We had fishwich. The bun was too big for fish. Service was slow and not upbeat for a place that's supposed to be back in the fifties. No smiles or customer oriented. Won't go back again! Over priced for fish sandwich for crappie service! Lettuce was brown! Yuck!

Stopped in for lunch today and we decided on cod and chips and Nifty burger. Both were delicious, hot and made fresh. Lots of bacon on the burger and tasty fries too. Great service made it a perfect choice for lunch. The decor was a walk down memory lane and great for conversation
