Simon's, which will shortly be changing names, is run by charming Tina, who serves excellent food for a good value. Contrary to other reviews, the restaurant has a loyal following. I bring friends and visitors who always delighted with the food and service. The pho is flavorful and outstanding as are the chinese entrees. Port Orchard may be small and... More

Well I know we will never go back. After three trys their food is a poor example of "Chinese" cooking. The meat was so tough and hard, their soup had hardly any seafood in it for 13 dollars. We had one dish that had a burnt flavor. They don't like you really sitting in the open bar and the service... More

The problem with Simon's is it is located in Port Orchard, WA. All the people here equate good food with how big the servings are and how cheap the price is. In short, they don't know anything about good food. Simons had a nice atmosphere. It is owned by a family and they take pride in their food and service.... More

Met a friend here for lunch last week based on some of the glowing reviews I've read online about this place. I'm having a hard time understanding why folks love it. Apparently their experience with Asian restaurants is rather limited. My friend had the Mongolian beef with rice and soup and felt it was just o.k. I wanted to try... More

Why the hype for this place? Prices are too high for Port Orchard and there's no justification for it in terms of food or atmosphere. I mean, they charge for rice even when you order dishes family-style -- $1.50 for an individual cup! Dinner for two (incl rice) was over $60 with tip - and no leftovers. (We spend the... More

Visited about every place on the peninsula and this is the best, provided you're a discerning consumer of authentic Asian styles and flavors, or want to impress someone who is. (If you're looking for "Family Dinner B" or mass volume at a cheap price, look elsewhere, or hit the "China" buffet a couple blocks down the street.) Friendly, family run... More

We'd seen the business sign along a typical commercial arterial for years but only stopped for dinner after "stumbling" upon the TA review among local restaurants and feeling we'd been overlooking a good place. Boy, were we (and those 5-star reviews) right!! After living 12 years in this locale, we've finally found a restaurant that is worth looking forward to... More

They have great Vietnamese and other dishes. Remember the nước mắm sauce.. those of us who served over there will remember the treat. Not just run of the mill fare. Very personable. Nice location... NOT OPEN ON MONDAYS!!!!! We keep forgetting. They have take out too.

We enjoyed our first dinner at Simon's last night immensely. The service was excellent and the food was spot on. We had the fresh spring rolls, kung pao chicken, hot and spicy pork and pad thai noodles. My girlfriend is a kung pao afficianado (always her go to selection) and she proclaimed the best that she can remember. Everything was... More

Since I have spent nine years living in Asia, I probably have a different view of Asian cuisine than most on the list. That being said, for Asian food on the Peninsula, this is very good. You would need to go to Seattle or maybe Tacoma to get equivalent food...and then at likely much higher cost (travel, food and time).... More
