A beautiful spot with a patio overlooking the Columbia River. Breads are baked in a brick oven, pastries and cookies made from scratch. The sandwiches come with a salad or kettle chips. All pizza's are hand tossed. The espresso coffee is made with Blue Star coffee, winner of Seattle's Best Award. During the summer bands play on the back patio from 7pm to 10 pm. Enjoy a pizza with a beer or glass of wine.

Turnovers that Melt in Your Mouth!!!

We stopped in for a latte, and I could not pass up the looks of a unique apple turnover. I am almost 60, have loved apple turnovers my whole life, and I do believe that the best I have ever had are these creations in the megatropolis of Pateros, WA.!!! The pastry itself was very flaky and tender... read more

Sweet River is the place to go if you want a fresh, homemade sandwich and bowl of soup. They make their breads and treats daily. After 3:00pm, you can get some amazing pizza, too. They also make lattes and have local wines and beer. Great place to eat and wonderful, friendly service.

Stayed in Pateros for one night, heard the music from the outside venue during the evening and walked down to check it out the next morning. Delighted to find a great, small town bakery with an impressive variety of fresh breads, pastries and coffee. Priced right, served by friendly locals, it's a great way to start the day.

We love the thin gluten-free pizza crust at Sweet River Bakery. Even better is the fresh toppings, from the Carne to the Ranchero! Be sure to stop and try it for yourself!

Wonderful grassy area between the building and the river. Some tables in the sun, some under large trees. They have music on the weekends. A nice local spot. Service is slow, but sandwiches are good. Beautiful view of the river.

The huge fires had swept the area burning 340 homes in the area and the mayor's in Pateros. The waitress I had just moved there from the Standing Rock Reservation in N. Dakota just in time for the fire. Power was out in the store and all the meat and dairy products were toast. But they are recovering nicely. I... More

We visited Pateros to look at the results of the tragic fire. We stopped at this great little bakery. We only had coffee and pastries but both were excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will stop for lunch the next time we are in the area. Hidden gem and if you are in the are do... More

This bakery serves a great pizza. It's all homemade so expect a little wait. You can get it to go too.

Delicious baked goods - consistently high quality, rustic, flavorsome, and quite simply fantastic food. We always try to stop here when we are passing through. Thanks to this great bakery for first rate meals - a wonderful surprise in such a small town.
