A beautiful spot with a patio overlooking the Columbia River. Breads are baked in a brick oven, pastries and cookies made from scratch. The sandwiches come with a salad or kettle chips. All pizza's are hand tossed. The espresso coffee is made with Blue Star coffee, winner of Seattle's Best Award. During the summer bands play on the back patio from 7pm to 10 pm. I Brake for Biscotti!

The Sweet River Bakery offers a little bit of all. Great baked goods and the best biscotti I have ever had. Salads, sandwiches, soups, wood-fired pizzas. Consistently good espresso drinks. Free WiFi that actually works. I never pass through Pateros without stopping here. And if I can buy up... read more

Previously had a not so good experience with an apple fritter. This time I returned to see if they had changed them. There weren't any apple fritters to be seen but I did see cinnamon rolls. I got one. It was very good. It was thick with lots of cinnamon and icing. There was plenty of gooey sweetness inside the... More

and are glad we did. Lots of great looking pastries. We got an apple log. It's a rolled pastry with apple filling and sprinkled with sugar crystals. I also got a very tasty cup of coffee. There's seating inside, but lots of tables out back with a nice view of the Columbia River so we sat out there. Very friendly... More

Best pizza in town.. Okay, it's the only pizza in town, but it was really good. They cook it in a wood fired oven.. Don't go if you're in a hurry though. Even though there may look like there's nobody there they seem to do a tremendous phone order business. It was worth the wait but be forewarned..

I spent a few days in Pateros during a motorcycle rally and several times ate at the Sweet River Bakery. The service can be slow when it's busy, but the people and food are well worth the weight. I highly recommend the pizza. It's hand tossed and they use fresh ingredients. One of the pest pies I've eaten. They have... More

We stopped here for the free wifi and were pleasantly surprised by the food and coffee. It was the morning and they have a variety of fresh baked goods and 3 breakfast sandwiches including a vegetarian option. We tried two of them and they were delicious, on fresh baked bread. The coffee was excellent and there was a nice little... More

We are bicycle touring the northwest. We have eaten in too many bakeries to count. The baked items are really good and the outdoor seating is great with the lake view. Just don't look too closely at the inside of the building in terms of cleanliness. It's been a long time since I've seen the sticky tape used to catch... More

We ate at Sweet River Bakery the second night. We didn't realize this was a full service restaurant by the name until I gave them a call. We like to eat healthy and they aim to please. It is a very cool & hip restaurant.
